Sylvan Cheney lowered his head, leaned close to her ear, and his rich, deep voice echoed beside her ear, "How do you want to feel? Should I touch and see? Hmm?"
"Sylvan Cheney, you’re shaless. Let’s break up for three minutes."
"Oh, what do you want for dinner tonight? Chinese or Western?"
"Chinese."
"Let’s go, I’ll take you upstairs."
Sylvan Cheney put his arm around her waist and led her from the first floor of the plaza towards the upstairs. Sylvan Cheney tickled her arm, "Still breaking up with or not?"
Jasmine Yale giggled as he tickled her, "No, I was wrong, okay?"
"You’ve got so nerve, daring to break up with ."
In the brightly lit plaza, Jasmine Yale walked side by side with him, chatting as they went.
Sylvan Cheney booked a simple private room. With the two of them together, it was both cozy and sweet. He helped her sit down, worried she might bump into sothing, moving with great care.
The room was very warm. The retro-style crystal light was a soft orange, adding a veil-like softness to the whole room.
Sylvan Cheney took off her windbreaker and poured her a cup of plain water.
"Next week is the prenatal checkup?"
Jasmine Yale nodded, "Yeah, the doctor said we need to go. Will you accompany ?"
"Depends on your behavior."
"What do you an? It should depend on your behavior, shouldn’t it? If not good, my baby will call you ’Big Baddy’ in the future."
"What if I behave well?"
"Uncle Cheney."
"..." Sylvan Cheney gave her a sidelong glance, "Do you know you’re being very unreasonable? Hmm?"
Jasmine Yale bead, touching her round belly. Yes, teasing Sylvan Cheney... feels great.
Just then, Sylvan Cheney’s phone rang.
He saw it was Kade Yuvan calling and went to the window to answer.
"President, I just verified so matters at the company. There are so top-secret company files on Jasmine’s computer. Now the board mbers are saying she intends to sell these materials to competitors for huge profit."
"Kade, what do you think?"
"President, the biggest evidence right now is those files on Jasmine’s computer, but I believe in her as a person. She wouldn’t do such a thing, but... many things can’t be absolute." Kade Yuvan hesitated.
"Kade, listen carefully. It’s not that things can’t be absolute, it’s that she absolutely wouldn’t do such a thing, understand? Since you’re with , you should know I don’t misjudge people."
"But, President..."
"No buts, Kade, you think it over carefully." Sylvan Cheney’s deanor was stern, his tone icy.
"..." Kade was stunned, how did it turn into his self-reflection, "Then, President, how should I handle it?"
"I’ll handle it tomorrow."
"Alright then, President, I’m going out to eat."
"Go reflect!"
"..."
Hanging up the phone, Sylvan Cheney saw Jasmine Yale eating fruit. She peeled a grape and, smiling, reached out, "Co here."
Sylvan Cheney walked over, and she fed him the grape.
"You’re scolding Kade again. Your subordinates with you won’t gain any advantage." Jasmine Yale picked a piece of sliced apple with a toothpick, her face brimming with delight.
"He’s been with too short a ti, not mature in handling things, needs scolding."
"I’ve been with you not long either, even shorter than Kade. Should I be scolded too?"
"Yes, you too."
"President, I’m a bit different from Assistant Yuvan, I hold grudges, you know. If you don’t believe it, go ahead and scold." Jasmine Yale gave a snort, then fed him another piece of apple.
