"So, how many grudges have you kept against ?" Sylvan Cheney squinted his eyes, curious, "Isn’t it said that pregnancy makes you forgetful for three years? How co your mory’s improved?"
"That depends on the occasion. If you scold , I jot it down in my little notebook, one by one."
Sylvan Cheney raised his hand, ruffling her long hair, with a clear smile in his eyes.
Jasmine Yale fed him a few more pieces of apple and pear.
Sylvan used to dislike this kind of behavior, but now... he rather enjoyed it.
"President, are you discussing work stuff with Kade Yuvan?"
"Mm, the project he’s in charge of."
"President, are you hiding sothing from ?" Jasmine asked with a smile, taking a bite of apple.
"What am I hiding from you? Order so food." Sylvan ruffled her hair again, handing her a tablet.
What could he possibly be hiding from her? His world was a blank slate, and in the few months of mory he had, he told her everything there was to tell, even the most private things.
The only thing he hadn’t ntioned was his mory loss.
Jasmine didn’t press further, nibbling on her fruit while browsing the nu.
The nu was purely Chinese, but it wasn’t Landon cuisine; it was Jiangnan cuisine. It seed the owner was from Jiangnan.
Sylvan preferred a lighter taste, and he quite enjoyed the comforting flavors of Jiangnan cuisine.
Jasmine wasn’t picky, so she ordered according to his tastes, picking out a few of his favorites like Lotus Leaf Stead Pork, West Lake Vinegar Fish, Longjing Shrimp, Dongpo Pork...
"Jasmine, was the food you brought last ti made by you?"
"No, it was made by my housekeeper," Jasmine replied absentmindedly; she’d long forgotten about it.
"I knew it. You lied, saying you bought it from a friend’s restaurant."
Jasmine was taken aback, looking up and chuckling, "You’ve found out."
"Truly an indisputable little liar."
"With my clumsy deception, I can only trick you. Look at you, didn’t you love the dishes my housekeeper made?"
Sylvan looked at her, his gaze filled with deep affection, "Why are you so good to ?"
Jasmine couldn’t withstand such a gentle Sylvan. Every move, every word was tender, making her blush, "Who’s being good to you? Just because I brought you a few als?"
Sylvan smirked, saying nothing more.
He didn’t know where his feelings for her ca from, but seeing her smile, her blush, her playful antics, his heart was filled with a warm sense of security and contentnt.
Erin Janus had once saved his life, but he never felt this way about her. Only seeing Jasmine stirred all the love and protective instincts within him.
Not long after Jasmine finished ordering, the waiter brought in dish after steaming dish.
Jasmine, feeling hungry, didn’t hold back with Sylvan, diving right in.
Sylvan wasn’t as hungry. He replied to a few emails, then leisurely picked up his chopsticks.
"Jasmine, you really do eat a lot, from morning until night," Sylvan comnted casually, "This won’t do, the baby will be too chubby when it’s born. Look at your belly, it looks like you’re carrying twins."
"..." Jasmine pouted discontentedly, "Can’t you afford to feed ? Are you reluctant to let eat?"
"It’s for your own good."
"The doctor said it’s fine. Eating is good, and it’s not like I’m always like this; today I’m just happy."
