The door wasn’t closed, and Jasmine Yale watched in amazent as Charles Mcintosh’s figure departed, a gleam flooding her eyes.
The wind lifted the corner of Charles Mcintosh’s trench coat; he looked like a man heading off to the battlefield, resolute and aloof, leaving only a silhouette that grew more and more distant.
In the distance, mist and rain blurred the view.
The black umbrella covered half of the man’s figure as he turned a corner and quickly disappeared from everyone’s sight.
Jasmine Yale’s long eyelashes fluttered, and her heart leaped intensely with them.
This man, whom she had known for a long ti, always had elents she couldn’t quite grasp.
Over the years, she found herself understanding him less and less.
"Jasmine, head back early. The training ground is too desolate; it’s not suitable for a pregnant woman to stay." The old man stood up, his hands behind his back.
Jasmine Yale nodded: "You should go back too; I’ll go back with you."
The old man didn’t say much more and agreed.
Along the way, Charles Mcintosh’s figure was nowhere to be found.
In the drifting rain, Jasmine Yale always felt like Charles had been there, and yet hadn’t, like a fleeting dream.
Jasmine Yale and Chale Cheney’s ntor were both busy, and she occasionally glanced around.
"Master, this place wasn’t this big a dozen years ago, right?" Jasmine Yale sighed.
"Yes, a dozen years ago, there weren’t so many buildings and equipnt; back then, it was still a large muddy field with small woods, very much like the countryside back ho."
"Did you co here when it was just built?"
"I was the first martial arts instructor here." The old man reflected, "Initially, it wasn’t a place to train children and strengthen the body, but a site where Mr. Childe trained his subordinates, his loyal warriors."
Jasmine Yale knew Spencer Childe had a batch of loyal warriors under his command who followed him unwaveringly.
After the shooting incident a few months ago, those warriors either died or were imprisoned, scattered everywhere.
"Back then, his loyal warriors were mostly children under ten years old, as children were easier to train, control, and more willing to do his bidding." The old man said while walking, "Later, after those warriors were trained, the fa of the training ground unknowingly spread, and many wealthy families sent their children here. Jasmine Yale listened to the tales of the past, and seed quite engrossed.

Jasmine Yale also laughed.
"Sylvan was the most promising of the apprentices I had back then; he was smart, reserved, insightful, and when he left, I felt quite reluctant. Charles also brought joy and never did anything wrong; he had a good temper and character, and I often asked him to get wine."
Speaking of past events, the old man’s eyes glimred brightly.
So many years have passed.
Sylvan’s child is so grown now.
He had aged as well.

"Not quite, she was the first female student, but not the only one."
