He frowned deeply, "Finished?"
"Mm, I’m done talking."
"Fairy tales are supposed to be happy, what kind of fairy tale is this?"
"Who told you all fairy tales are happy? Boss, maybe you haven’t really read fairy tales." Jasmine Yale looked down on him.
"What a ssy story, not good at all." Sylvan Cheney was obviously dissatisfied with the story, seemingly displeased with every part of it.
"It’s not really that good, I was just saying it off the top of my head."
"A story with no beginning or end, what happened after that? Did the Prince make any move?" Sylvan Cheney asked with interest.
"How would I know, that’s where the story ends, isn’t a story with an unresolved ending more captivating?" Jasmine Yale said casually, "As for what happens next...people who want a happy ending would probably imagine that the Prince eventually finds the girl, and they live happily ever after. Or maybe the Prince keeps searching but never finds her, and they miss each other for a lifeti, eventually, the Prince gets married and becos King. Aren’t all good stories like this, leaving endless possibilities for the imagination with each person seeing a different ending?"
Jasmine Yale rambled on, without much emotion.
The story was just sothing she made up.
Sylvan Cheney was amused, "Such a story that only little girls would obsess over, and you tell it to , it’s not quite suitable."
"Why, isn’t it fun?"
"Not really fun."
"So boring, Sylvan Cheney, you’re such a bore."
"..."
"Then what do you find fun? Stocks? Funds? Forex?"
"You’re the most fun." Sylvan Cheney mischievously grabbed her restless hand, smirking.
"You!" This ti, Jasmine Yale was amused by him, he was quite good at teasing.
"Holding you is like holding a little kitten, isn’t that fun?" Sylvan Cheney teased her, deliberately lowering his head to get closer to her face.
Maybe Sylvan Cheney’s embrace was too comfortable, Jasmine Yale clung on and refused to move.
"Then tell , if you were that Prince, what would your reaction be when you return after gathering herbs?" Jasmine Yale asked him curiously.
"I wouldn’t gather herbs."
"I said if." Jasmine Yale thought he was being a bit too literal.
"If? Didn’t you say the Prince is not very bright? If he’s not bright, then he’s not fit to go back and be King."
"You! Forget it." Jasmine Yale clutched her chest, feeling like she’d cough up blood from his teasing.
Never seen such a serious man.
Sylvan Cheney actually liked her expression, he lowered his head and planted a kiss on her forehead, seeing her as a little cat, a cat that had put away its claws.
He never thought sitting around chatting could be enjoyable, he used to disdain such activities, only seeing them as a waste of ti.
But now, having casual conversations with her, he found the ti passed slowly.
And that was nice.
"Your place is too plain, why don’t you buy a bottle of flowers? Also, after the baby is born, would you co ho with ? My place has a nursery."
"No way."
Jasmine Yale knew his male chauvinism was at play, "Then what should we do, your apartnt only has one bedroom, where’s the baby going to sleep?"
"The bedroom is big, we can just add a crib."
"Alright." Jasmine Yale thought they could make do, his apartnt was indeed quite large.
So things, you just can’t rush.
"Are you tired? If you are, I can carry you for a nap." Sylvan Cheney grasped her hand, holding it in his palm.
