Mo Lan nodded sheepishly. "Yeah, I don’t know why, but every ti I see a child, I just adore them. I can’t take my eyes off them. Ansel is the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen—he completely ’chard’ ."
Her humor made Jian Yufei laugh. "You love children so much; if you have your own child in the future, you’ll definitely cherish them deeply."
Mo Lan’s expression beca distant. Could she ever have her own child?
Jian Yufei understood what she was thinking and encouraged her, "Mo Lan, you will."
"I hope so." Mo Lan glanced at Ansel again. She thought, maybe soday she really could have a child and start a brand-new life.
Jian Yufei had just finished her porridge when she heard the sound of a car engine outside.
Ruan Tianling was back—
Jian Yufei happily put down her spoon and ran out.
As Ruan Tianling stepped into the living room, he saw Jian Yufei rushing down from upstairs.
Seeing him, the weight in Jian Yufei’s heart finally lifted.
"Why are you only back now?" She stepped forward and asked, puzzled.
Ruan Tianling didn’t embrace her warmly. He rely smiled faintly and said, "I couldn’t find the person I was looking for, so it took so extra ti. I haven’t rested in two days—I’ll head upstairs to sleep; otherwise, I might pass out."
His face indeed looked pale, and he seed a little out of it.
Jian Yufei hurriedly supported him. "I’ll help you upstairs to rest. Why haven’t you rested for two days? Didn’t you promise when you left that you wouldn’t overwork yourself?"
"I couldn’t find the person, so I searched through the night. How’s Ansel? Has he woken up?"
"Not yet."
Ruan Tianling pressed his lips together and said nothing. Jian Yufei, worried that he might beco even more anxious about Ansel, didn’t dare to say anything more.
Right now, what he needed most was rest.
After they entered the bedroom, Ruan Tianling took off his suit jacket and went straight to bed. He pulled the blanket over himself, exhaustion evident. "Go take care of Ansel. I’ll just sleep for a day."

She went upstairs to call Mo Lan down for dinner and then went to wake up Ruan Tianling.

She gently shook his body. "Ruan Tianling, wake up."

"Are you feeling very unwell?" Jian Yufei sat beside him and asked.
