Chapter 1637: Chapter 1637: He Likes to Fly Everywhere
“I’ve prepared the food; it’s ti to eat. But you seem to have a slight fever—I’ll call the doctor to check on you in a bit.”
Ruan Tianling lifted the blanket and propped himself up, “I’m fine; my body is still strong. Co on, let’s go eat.”
He put on his shoes, but his body swayed lightly as he stood up.
Jian Yufei hurriedly held onto him, “Are you sure you’re okay? You don’t seem well. Just lie back down, I’ll bring the food up.”
Ruan Tianling smiled as if nothing was wrong, “Really, I’m fine—it’s just lack of rest. If you don’t believe , let get a good night’s sleep, and I’ll do a hundred push-ups tomorrow to prove it.”
Jian Yufei glared at him, “Stop brushing off your health like it’s nothing. Even a small cold can’t be ignored.”
“Alright, alright, I know. I’ll take so dicine later, okay?” Ruan Tianling wrapped an arm around her and leaned down to kiss the corner of her lips.
Only then did Jian Yufei feel slightly appeased.
“Co on, let’s go eat. After that, you go back to sleep.”
“Okay.” Ruan Tianling held her as they headed downstairs, where Mo Lan was already waiting for them.
During dinner, Jian Yufei asked him about the past few days, but his replies were brief.
He was just looking for soone, constantly searching.
Jian Yufei asked him in confusion, “Why can’t you find the person?”
“Word is, he’s eccentric and often travels between countries. When we arrived, he had already left the country. By the ti we chased him abroad, he had flown to another place. So, after several days, we still haven’t found him,” Ruan Tianling explained in a calm tone.
Jian Yufei found it strange, “His movents are so complicated—why is he flying everywhere?”
“Because he enjoys flying everywhere,” Ruan Tianling said lightly, a faint smile on his face.
Mo Lan lifted her head, “This person is truly odd. But if we can’t locate him, how are we supposed to save Ansel?”
Ruan Tianling answered smoothly, “I’ve ordered a few subordinates to continue searching for him. We should be able to find him within a few days.”
Jian Yufei and the others nodded, choosing not to probe further.
Ruan Tianling ate only half a bowl of rice and drank a bowl of soup before stopping.
“You all take your ti; I’m going upstairs to deal with sothing.”
“You’re eating so little?” Jian Yufei frowned lightly. He typically eats at least two or three bowls.
Ruan Tianling smiled, “I’m not very hungry today and don’t have much appetite. You all enjoy your al.”
With that, he turned and left.
As he stepped out of the dining room, he suddenly pressed his fist against his lips and let out a low cough.
“Boss, are you alright?” Awei imdiately stepped forward to express concern.
Ruan Tianling, looking pale, waved a hand, “I’m fine. Bring the dical kit and follow to the study.”
“Understood.”
The two entered the study. Ruan Tianling instructed him to lock the door behind them and then leaned weakly against the sofa.
Awei quickly opened the dical kit. Ruan Tianling unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his chest wrapped in bandages.
On his chest, blood had seeped through the bandages.
Awei swiftly removed the bandages, then uncovered the blood-stained gauze on his chest—what erged was a gaping, grueso wound.
“Boss, just a few centiters off and it would’ve hit your heart,” Awei said grimly.
Ruan Tianling clenched his fist, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
“Patch it up quickly. Don’t let your sister-in-law see this.”
“…Understood.”
After finishing their al, Jian Yufei and Mo Lan headed upstairs. Mo Lan turned to her, “Yufei, I think Mr. Ruan isn’t very well tonight. Why don’t I watch over Ansel while you take care of Mr. Ruan?”
Jian Yufei hesitated for a mont but eventually nodded, “Alright, thank you.”
