Lin Shen and Zhou Qiang made small talk as they walked to the property managent office. Once Zhou Qiang had the keys, they took the elevator up to the 14th floor.
"This is the office space you’re planning to rent."
Unlike the bustling activity on the other floors, the 14th floor was eerily quiet.
Scraps of paper were scattered across the dusty tiles, and the once-smooth walls were covered in all sorts of scuff marks.
Beyond the hallway, the office itself was completely deserted. The lights were dim, small trinkets were scattered across the desks, and the glass partitions were coated in layers of gri.
"This used to be a small loan company. It’s been vacant ever since the boss got arrested."
Zhou Qiang then showed Lin Shen office 1402, which was in a similar state to 1401.

Zhou Qiang explained, sticking close to Lin Shen’s side.
