After Li Ang left, Zoe tossed and turned in bed.
These days, her thoughts have beco increasingly chaotic.
Clearly, in her imaginations of the future, it was only her and Li Ang.
In the underground cavern, she promised to accompany him to the end, but just days after being apart, he brought back a girl with pointy ears.
In Xiaohan’s mory, there was also a petite girl who wanted to be with him.
Even ALulu, a friend he just t, kept staring at him after he helped her retrieve her belongings.
What’s going on?
Zoe realized the problem she didn’t take seriously before.
Yes, he wanted to build a Sky Cavalry, so it couldn’t possibly just be the two of them. Although she said she’d help him reach the peak, at that ti she was only thinking about having adventures with him, never about the presence of others.
Vaguely hearing Dorothy next door making strange noises again, Zoe hugged her quilt tightly.
She never said it, but her ears were quite good; she could hear half of what others whispered.
Whenever the Half Elf went to see him, strange sounds would arise. Zoe couldn’t understand what caused it, but she knew that if she didn’t fight for ti with Li Ang, there would truly be less and less ti in the future.
So she took the initiative to find him, offering him her foot which he was always sneaking glances at, to play with.
The books that her mother liked said that once you find soone you like, give to him. But what to give, Zoe couldn’t quite figure out; this was the only thing she could think of.
But still, it was strange; despite feeling nothing, at that mont her whole body seed to catch fire.
When his hand held hers, there shouldn’t have been anything, but her throat was uncontrollably...
At that mont, Zoe finally understood the aning of those noises Dorothy made.
What a trick. You guys were already... completely unfair.
The young girl thought a lot and muddled through to sleep, waking up to toss and turn again.
Suddenly, the door was knocked.
Is Li Ang back?
Zoe rembered his instructions and didn’t unlock the latch, only cautiously opening a crack.
The one knocking was Dorothy.
"Oh, it’s you," Zoe said disappointedly.
"Sorry for being ," the Half Elf pushed the door slightly, "let in to talk."
"I don’t want you in."
Dorothy clenched her fists.
Zoe opened the door and stepped out; the two stood in the hallway.
"What do you want from ?"
Dorothy flicked her hair: "I’ve been thinking, we indeed both have sowhat special relations with Li Ang, so we should discuss how to get along."
"Say sothing that complicated, I can’t understand."
Dorothy looked into the young girl’s clear eyes across from her, sighed: "Ugh, country girl."
Zoe raised an eyebrow: "Are you cursing ?"
Dorothy smiled, neither confirming nor denying, only saying: "What I an is, we both want to take it further, but because of the other’s existence, Li Ang is holding back."
"What does taking it further an?"
"Oh? You don’t know?"
Dorothy squinted slightly, her face seemingly full of smugness.
She chuckled, saying: "Then it’s a secret. This might turn into a war, so I can’t possibly reveal tactics to you."
Zoe furrowed her brow, trying to think but finding no clues at all.
She talks in circles, but surely there’s sothing crucial hidden in there!
"In summary," Dorothy said, "competing actually harms us both. Let’s allocate our ti; when one is alone with him, the other should not interfere.
"As for who wins ultimately, the other will withdraw, purely based on personal ability, how about it?"
"Alright," Zoe nodded, "dayti is yours, nightti is mine. Anyway, I don’t understand what you’re saying, as long as he stays with at night, it’s fine."
"How is that allocation at all!"
Dorothy raised her delicate fist: "You little brat, naturally scheming. Surely it’s complete separate days."
"Then what do you say?"
The Half Elf folded her arms: "Since I’ve known him early on and you ca later, so out of seven days a week, you get three, and I get four."
"That’s not right, I was clearly first." Zoe shook her head.
"That argunt doesn’t stand, what do you an knowing him early, did you ever et him in person?"
"If you ca early why haven’t you married yet? Where have you been all those years?"
"I, I am starting to work hard now, isn’t it?"
"Anyway, I won’t agree, I’ll look for him every night."
"No way!"
Their eyes locked together, Zoe even stood on tiptoe, refusing to be outdone.
Footsteps ca from downstairs, soone climbing up the stairs.
It was Li Ang.
The two young girls were just about to approach him, only to see him holding soone in his arms.
Though the hair was short and ssily cut, with a delicate appearance and graceful curves, it was completely apparent she was a girl.
"What’s going on!" Both yelled simultaneously.
Li Ang was startled: "What’s wrong, do you want to call out everyone in the hallway?"
He carried Andasu toward the room, Zoe and Dorothy exchanged a glance, seeing confusion in each other’s eyes.
Seemingly, in so aspects, they completely misunderstood?
Li Ang placed the Beast-Earkin young girl on the bed, Dorothy stood behind him: "Care to explain?"
"This is the leader of that gang we encountered before."
"Oh, you’re interested in n too now?"
"You noticed it yourself previously." Li Ang told her.
"Hmph, you keep finding unappealing flat ones; don’t you think soone like is better?"
Dorothy placed her palm beneath her collarbone. Whether from anger or intentionally, her alluring rise and fall set off quite a wave.
Zoe looked down, scoffing: "Who’s flat, clearly there’s sothing! Want to compare with ALulu?"
