Chapter 1297: 1296 Ti Rewind
Outside the hospital, Qing Feng frowned with difficulty when he heard Bai Yiyi say that she wouldn’t go ho to rest but instead wanted to visit Li En directly, “Miss Bai, Young Master Mo said you should go ho and rest first, and visit Li En in the afternoon. Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered, it seed that not just Wen Jin, but Mo Xiuchen and Gu Kai were also suspecting Li En’s involvent in this matter.
Is it because Li En has a criminal record, or simply because of Gu Kai’s experintal results last night?
She suddenly felt uncomfortable. She had stayed up all night with Gu Kai in the lab last night, and even if there was no credit, she had put in the effort. Yet Gu Kai didn’t even ntion his suspicions about Li En, and this morning, he had Wen Jin say it.
Seeing that Bai Yiyi didn’t look too well, Qing Feng hesitated and then asked, “Miss Bai, may I start driving now?”
“Mhm.”
Bai Yiyi uttered a nonchalant response and looked up, her gaze drifting outside the car window.
When her eyes caught a red car turning right in front of them and driving into the hospital, a trace of bewildernt flashed through them. She recognized that license plate.
At this ti, was Fang Zhiwei’s visit to the hospital a coincidence, or was she here for Gu Kai?
Thinking of sothing, she laughed mockingly in her heart, it didn’t matter who she was here for, it was none of her business. Her phone vibrated, she looked down and saw the caller ID, then answered the call.
It was her mother, Bai Yuqin.
“Yiyi, I just saw the news at the hotel, is Ah Kai’s injury serious?”
Hearing her mother’s worried and anxious voice, Bai Yiyi thought that Fang Zhiwei must have co to visit Gu Kai and she said nonchalantly: “Mom, he won’t die, don’t worry about it.”
“Yiyi, how can you talk like that? Did you have a fight with Ah Kai again? Ah Kai was in so much danger earlier. You should hurry and go see him, or give him a call to check if his injuries are serious. Also, you’re not allowed to raise your voice to him before the wounds on his hand are healed.”
Bai Yiyi’s remarks were t with a barrage of chiding from her mother, causing her to involuntarily move the phone away from her ear a bit. Qing Feng, who was driving, noticed her moving the phone away and was a bit surprised.
Bai Yiyi didn’t care about Qing Feng’s surprise and only after her mother had finished her nagging, she said: “Mom, just enjoy your trip outside, don’t keep worrying about G City. If you don’t want to travel anymore, just co back.”
It would save her the trouble of being interrogated every few days over the phone.
Bai Yiyi’s mother pays attention to even the slightest movent in G City.

“Yiyi, rember what I just said. You better not just brush it off. I’m going to call Ah Kai every day to ask about your attitude toward her. If I find out you’re bullying soone who’s injured, you’ll see if I don’t give you a piece of my mind when I get back.”
“Mom, I’m swamped right now. Please don’t add to the chaos. I rember what you said.” Bai Yiyi looked speechlessly up at the car ceiling.
Bai Yuqin thought it best to quit while ahead upon getting her promise and swiftly changed the topic, asking with concern about Wen’s Phamaceutical Factory, “Yiyi, those family mbers seed so terrifying. These next few days, you should be extra careful. Or maybe, you can take a few days off and rest.”
“I’ll be careful on my own, Mom. I’ve got sothing to handle, I’m hanging up now.”
Bai Yiyi interrupted Bai Yuqin’s words and hung up the phone right after speaking.
With an incident at Wen’s Phamaceutical Factory, how could she possibly take leave at this ti? What kind of person would that make her?

In the hospital
Ah Kai’s wound had just been bandaged when Fang Zhiwei showed up.
“Ah Kai, is the injury on your hand serious? It scared to death when I saw it. Let have a look.” Fang Zhiwei said as she moved forward to grasp Ah Kai’s hand to examine the wound.
Ah Kai’s eyes shifted slightly as he subtly avoided her outstretched hand, saying in a flat tone, “It’s a minor injury. What are you doing here at the hospital?”
“I saw the news and was worried, so I called Ranran, and she told to co check on you.” Fang Zhiwei’s eyes remained fixed on Ah Kai’s hand.
“You called Ranran?” Ah Kai’s tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction. Ah Mu’s brows also knitted slightly. This Fang Zhiwei, is she genuinely concerned, or does she think things aren’t chaotic enough?
Yet, Ah Mu didn’t believe her words. Even if Ranran was concerned about the hospital incident, she wouldn’t have sent Fang Zhiwei to check on her brother.
“I have other matters to handle. You should head back first. I’ll call Ranran later.” When Ah Kai saw the questioning look in Ah Mu’s eyes, a touch of gloom colored his handso face, and his voice grew colder.
A trace of hurt flickered across Fang Zhiwei’s eyes. With a swift shift in thoughts, she realized she had misspoken. “Ah Kai, I don’t have classes this morning. I ca over to see if there’s anything I can help with. I know I shouldn’t have called Ranran, but I was really scared when I saw the news this morning.”
“Ah Mu and I have things to take care of. There’s nothing here you can help with. You should go back.”
Having said that, Ah Kai and Ah Mu left the ergency room, striding away quickly.
Fang Zhiwei did not chase after them. Scolding herself, she watched their figures disappear into the corridor before turning to leave.
“Fang Zhiwei really is smitten with you, Ah Kai. Seeing as you’re injured, why not just take her in?”
In the elevator, young Master Qin glanced at the bandaged hand of Ah Kai and teased.
Ah Kai gave him a stern look, “Quit stirring up trouble. If I could turn back ti, I definitely wouldn’t have made the crazy decision to date Fang Zhiwei.”
“Why only turn back so little? Shouldn’t you want to go back to before that one-night stand with Bai Yiyi?” With the morning’s events being so dramatic and the whole hospital atmosphere turning heavy, Young Master Qin didn’t want to die of suffocation in such low spirits. This man beside him provided just the amusent he needed.
He’d be remiss not to lighten the mood.
Ah Kai’s expression shifted slightly as the elevator doors opened, he threw out a line, “I wish I could turn back to over twenty years ago,” and then he stepped out of the elevator.
Young Master Qin chuckled lightly, understanding his aning. He wished to go back to before Ranran was stolen away by Fu Jingyi.
