Chapter 1437: 1436 As a normal man
“Ranran, finished with the call?”
Mo Xiuchen returned from the children’s room and saw Wen Ran getting out of bed as soon as he entered the bedroom. He lightly hooked the corner of his lips and quickly approached her.
Wen Ran originally intended to look for Mo Xiuchen, but when she saw him return, she stood by the bed instead of going over.
“Ranran, what did Bai Xiaoxiao say to you? You don’t seem too happy?”
Mo Xiuchen gently grasped her shoulder with his large hand, his gaze tender with a hint of concern as he looked at her.
Wen Ran gave a slight smile, but because she felt uncomfortable inside, it seed forced. “Xiuchen, when Luo Haofeng called you a few days ago, did he tell you where he was?”
Upon hearing this, Mo Xiuchen’s eyes narrowed slightly in thought, and instead of answering, he asked, “Could it be that Ah Feng went to see Bai Xiaoxiao during the Spring Festival?”
“Yes.”
Wen Ran nodded, and Mo Xiuchen signaled with his eyes for her to get back into bed before speaking.
“I’ll go to the bathroom first.”
Two minutes later, Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen were back on the bed. He habitually pulled Wen Ran into his embrace, playing gently with a strand of her hair with his long fingers.
“Xiaoxiao just told that during the Spring Festival, Luo Haofeng went to D Country to see her, and ng Ke also went to D Country.”
“Did they bump into each other?”
Mo Xiuchen’s face showed a hint of surprise upon hearing Wen Ran’s words.
“They did bump into each other. As soon as Xiaoxiao brought up Luo Haofeng, she seed upset, so I didn’t ask in detail. She only said that when Luo Haofeng went to see her, he encountered ng Ke there as well.”
Mo Xiuchen released Wen Ran’s hair, tightened his grip on her shoulder slightly, and said comfortingly, “Ranran, you don’t need to be sad. Ah Feng might miss her too much, so he took the opportunity to go abroad on business to see Bai Xiaoxiao.”

Since Luo Haofeng returned to City C to take over the company, his visits to G City have been rare. He often talks on the phone with Mo Xiuchen, but Mo Xiuchen seldom asks about his relationship issues.
Luo Haofeng rarely ntions it as well.
“Why?”
Wen Ran looked at Mo Xiuchen in confusion. As long as Bai Xiaoxiao isn’t married, she’s afraid Luo Haofeng won’t give up.
Earlier on the phone, Bai Xiaoxiao said she originally intended to accept ng Ke’s confession and officially beco his girlfriend. But because of Luo Haofeng’s appearance, she couldn’t agree with ng Ke.
Listening to the conflict and sadness in Bai Xiaoxiao’s tone made Wen Ran feel as if an invisible hand clutched at her heart, causing indescribable discomfort.
In truth, she knew that the main reason Xiaoxiao refused to return to the country and instead expanded their family’s business abroad was largely due to Luo Haofeng.
“The other day, Ah Feng called , and although his tone seed a little strange, I finally found the reason after listening to you.”
Mo Xiuchen chuckled softly, “Ranran, it’s very late now, let’s go to sleep.”

With one hand, she dried her hair with a towel, walked to the bed, and picked up her phone to read the ssage: Yiyi, rember to apply dicine.
The ssage was from Gu Kai.
Seeing the content, Bai Yiyi couldn’t help but want to curse him.
It had been several hours since the afternoon; if she really needed to apply dicine, it should have been done hours ago.
During her shower, she discovered that her body bore many marks left by that man, countless kiss marks on her originally fair skin.

Staring at the ssage on her phone, her heartbeat beca chaotic once more.
Face flushing hot, Bai Yiyi furrowed her brows, trying to shake off those mories, but she couldn’t control her mind from wandering aimlessly.
“Bastard!”
She gritted her teeth and cursed.
The next second, her phone rang loudly, piercing through the silence of the bedroom.
Bai Yiyi stared at the flashing na on the screen, furrowing her brow, and after a few seconds, she reluctantly tapped the answer button, “Hello.”
“Yiyi, did you get my ssage?”
On the phone, Gu Kai’s warm and pleasant voice ca through.
Bai Yiyi pursed her lips, “Didn’t see it.”
“I was afraid you might not see it, so I called again. You’ve showered, right? If it still hurts, rember to apply so dicine. If you put it on tonight, it won’t hurt tomorrow morning.”
Gu Kai seed in a good mood, and not only that, he had the boldness that Bai Yiyi found exasperating.
Discussing such matters, he was as nonchalant as if discussing what to eat, prompting Bai Yiyi to silently retort in her heart. Even though he’s a man—and a doctor—he’s not a gynecologist.
Why does he keep talking about such topics with her?
“If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up.”
Contrary to Gu Kai’s pleasant mood, Bai Yiyi felt agitated inside.
“Yiyi, are you shy?” Gu Kai detected the unnaturalness in her tone and chuckled teasingly on the other end, “Didn’t I say before, we’re adults, no need to be shy? This afternoon I was too rough, you know, I’ve been abstinent for so many years…”
