Gu Kai, however, responded calmly and assertively, with no intention of letting go of her hand.
While waiting for the elevator, Bai Yiyi gently struggled, “Ah Kai, let go of . It’s embarrassing if people see us like this.”

When the elevator reached the first floor, stepping out, they unexpectedly saw Fang Zhiwei and Jing Xiaocha coming out of the neighboring elevator.
“Sister Yiyi, Doctor Gu.” Jing Xiaocha happily greeted them, while Fang Zhiwei’s gaze paused on their intertwined fingers for a second, then a smile appeared on her face, “Yiyi, Ah Kai.”
“You’ve seen Dan Xi?”
Gu Kai smiled softly, asking warmly.
The few of them walked toward the hospital entrance together. Fang Zhiwei calmly replied, “We didn’t go inside to see her; we just talked with her mom for a while. We will visit her after she wakes up.”
“Hmm.”
“Doctor Gu, Sister Yiyi, are you guys doing a public display of affection?”
Jing Xiaocha’s eyes road around both of them teasingly.
Bai Yiyi gave a small twitch of her lips, while Gu Kai burst out laughing, “Are you feeling envious?”
“Woof woof woof.” Jing Xiaocha made a funny face at Gu Kai, barking a few tis, then said, “Sister Yiyi, you’re as happy as Sister Wen.”
Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran have been married for so long, but wherever they go, they’re always holding hands.
Jing Xiaocha was envious when she first saw Mo Xiuchen holding Wen Ran’s hand. Now seeing Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi like this, she couldn’t help but sigh, “When I get a boyfriend in the future, I must find soone who always holds my hand wherever we go.”
“Little girl, you’re not even of age yet and already thinking about getting married.”
Fang Zhiwei, amused by Jing Xiaocha’s words, couldn’t help but give her a teasing glance.
While talking, they walked out of the hospital entrance, where the temperature outside was a few degrees different. Gu Kai asked with concern, “Are you cold?”
“Not cold.”
Bai Yiyi replied softly.
“Sister Fang, let’s hurry. If I keep watching, I’ll really want to sign up for marriage soon.” Jing Xiaocha exclaid exaggeratedly, pulling Fang Zhiwei along as they ran.
“Hey, Xiaocha.”
Fang Zhiwei wore high heels, unlike Jing Xiaocha, who wore sneakers, and running was not as graceful with her heels.

Bai Yiyi watched Jing Xiaocha pull Fang Zhiwei away in a hurry and finally chuckled softly in reprimand.

Bai Yiyi nodded, “He said today’s surgery was very important to you and asked to be with you. Later, I thought doing surgeries all day must be tiring, so I ca over.”
“Ah Jin deserves to be my brother.” Gu Kai proudly raised an eyebrow.
“He also said that last ti when he gave a raise, it was your money.” Bai Yiyi ntioned this while looking at Gu Kai with inquisitive eyes.
