Early the next morning, ng Ke arrived at Bai Xiaoxiao’s house.
Unlike last ti, he called her in advance this ti.
Bai Xiaoxiao answered the call, got up, washed, and went downstairs.
Not seeing ng Ke in the living room, only her mother sat on the sofa. Seeing her co down, Mother Bai’s face showed a gentle smile, she stood up and walked out of the sofa.

“Co on, let’s go outside and see what they’re talking about, and call them in for breakfast.”
Bai Xiaoxiao and her mother walked arm in arm into the yard, where not far away, ng Ke and Mr. Bai were sitting at a marble table.

Bai Xiaoxiao and Mother Bai joked with laughter as they approached the marble table.
After speaking, she glanced at ng Ke, eting his smiling eyes, “Have you had breakfast yet?”
“Xiaoxiao, how could you ask like that? Little ng ca so early, he probably hasn’t eaten.”
Mother Bai gave Bai Xiaoxiao a sideways glance, then warmly invited ng Ke into the living room.

After breakfast, ng Ke played a few rounds of chess with Mr. Bai. It was nearly ten o’clock when ng Ke and Bai Xiaoxiao set off for Mo Xiuchen’s house.
“Xiaoxiao, let’s buy a gift first.”
As the car hit the road, ng Ke turned to look at Bai Xiaoxiao in the passenger seat, speaking gently.
Bai Xiaoxiao was initially taken aback, then she smiled and said, “I already bought the gift yesterday, we can go straight to Ranran’s house, no need to buy more.”
“Is that okay? It’s my first ti going to celebrate the three little ones’ birthday. Going empty-handed, won’t it seem too stingy?”
ng Ke’s eyes twinkled, the corners of his mouth turning up into a smile.
Bai Xiaoxiao looked at him with amusent, “Of course not, you’re my boyfriend. The gift is from both of us.”
She said, glancing at the gift in the backseat.
ng Ke seed to ponder for a few seconds, his eyes filled with laughter, his mood suddenly brightened, “Okay, since you say so, I won’t buy any.”
His biggest worry was Xiaoxiao drawing a clear line between them.
That day at his house, when Xiaoxiao refused his gift, he felt very upset.
Now, Xiaoxiao said he was her boyfriend and that her gift represented both of them. It might seem he got a bargain, but he was very happy.
Midway through the trip, for so unknown reason, there was an accident ahead, and the car queue ford a long dragon.
It was already 10:40, and there was no sign of progress. Bai Xiaoxiao was losing patience, frowning slightly.
“Xiaoxiao, why don’t we get out and walk a bit?”
ng Ke looked out the car window, assessing the road, then turned to Bai Xiaoxiao and asked gently.
Bai Xiaoxiao hesitated, biting her lip, then checked the ti, unsure when the road would clear.
The phone rang, it was a call from Wen Ran.
“Xiaoxiao, why aren’t you here yet? Don’t tell you’re still at ho?”
On the phone, Wen Ran’s voice had a mix of concern and jest.
Bai Xiaoxiao looked out the window, “I’m stuck in traffic, been stuck for half an hour, no idea when it’ll clear.”
“Ah, you’re stuck on the road too?”
Wen Ran’s surprised voice ca through.
Bai Xiaoxiao asked with curiosity, “Is it just stuck on the road?”
“Of course it’s not just you, Luo Haofeng is also stuck. Are you alone, or…”
Bai Xiaoxiao’s heart skipped a beat.
Just because Wen Ran said that person was also stuck.
She grasped her phone tighter, instinctively looked ahead, then turned to look behind.
Feeling ng Ke’s gaze beside her, Bai Xiaoxiao glanced at him too, a smile erging, “I’m with ng Ke. Ranran, this road seems like it’s going to be congested for a while, I’ve decided to walk to your house.”

ng Ke smiled, took out his phone, and dialed a number.
Bai Xiaoxiao didn’t object, no one could tell how long the traffic would last, it could be another half an hour, or maybe just a few more minutes until it cleared.
After making the call, ng Ke and Bai Xiaoxiao waited another two minutes. Once his people arrived, they got out of the car with the gift.
“I’ve already told Ranran, she’ll send a car to pick us up. You can drive the car to the travel agency later.”
Bai Xiaoxiao instructed the person, then walked with ng Ke heading forward.
“Xiaoxiao!”
After taking just a couple of steps, they heard a familiar voice behind them.
Bai Xiaoxiao paused, her body freezing.
Beside her, ng Ke seed to imdiately recognize the voice, his expression slightly changing, he glanced sideways at Bai Xiaoxiao before turning to look at the source of the voice.
A few ters behind, a tall and handso figure was walking towards them in the sunlight.
The sculpted features of his face shone under the sun, giving off a golden glow, indescribably handso and charming.
The most captivating thing was his smile.
His brows arched lightly, the corners of his mouth curved into a bewitching smile, and his enchanting eyes glimred like gold, creating a breathtaking spectacle that left Bai Xiaoxiao montarily stunned.
ng Ke’s grip on the gift instinctively tightened.
Luo Haofeng approached them like an old friend, stopping in front of them, his playful eyes sweeping over Bai Xiaoxiao, finally settling on ng Ke’s face.
“Boss ng, long ti no see.”
ng Ke’s eyes flickered slightly.
Luo Haofeng actually greeted him first. He had thought Luo Haofeng would ignore him and start reminiscing with Bai Xiaoxiao.
Both hands occupied with gifts, he quickly shifted them to one hand, then reached out to shake hands with Luo Haofeng.
“This isn’t the place to talk; let’s chat as we walk.”
Luo Haofeng withdrew his hand, looking at Bai Xiaoxiao.
In his tone, eyes, and smile, he appeared like an old friend not seen in a long ti.
There was none of the awkwardness of ex-lovers or the hostility of rivals.
Bai Xiaoxiao snapped back to reality, pulling up a smile, “Just now, Ranran ntioned you’re also stuck on this road. I didn’t expect you’d get out and walk.”
