After a long while, Xu Wanqi finally looked up at Lu Zhiyan and asked stiffly, “If I confess everything I know, does that an I can be innocent?”

“When is he going then?”

“So, ng Ke doesn’t trust you that much either.”

Xu Wanqi said this not because she truly believed ng Ke didn’t trust her, but simply hoped the police couldn’t catch him.

Mo Xiuchen had just finished processing his work and got up to pour water for Wen Ran when the phone on the desk rang.
He glanced back, placed the cup on Wen Ran’s desk, and said with a smile, “Ranran, have so water.”
Wen Ran gently nodded, “Your phone is ringing, go answer it!”
As she spoke, she took the cup from his hand.
Mo Xiuchen watched her bring the cup to her lips before returning to his desk to answer the call.
“Hello!”
As soon as he greeted, Lu Zhiyan’s voice ca through the phone, “Xu Wanqi has confessed, the trouble at Bai Xiaoxiao’s company was ng Ke’s doing. He wanted to lure Bai Xiaoxiao to D Country and then take her away.”
Listening to his words, a hint of coldness flashed in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes. Did ng Ke like Bai Xiaoxiao that much?
Or was it simply out of unwillingness because he couldn’t have her?

Wen Ran didn’t ask him anything, just watched him silently.
After a few rings, Luo Haofeng’s voice ca through, still tinged with drowsiness.
At this ti, it was still early morning over there, not even dawn.
“Hey, Xiuchen.”
“Qing Yang is awake.”
Mo Xiuchen’s simple words instantly cleared Luo Haofeng of any drowsiness on the other end, the voice coming back devoid of sleepiness.
“Xiuchen, you said Qing Yang is awake?”
