Janice was changing her clothes when she heard Christopher’s question.
"Yvonne? Not bad. Why do you ask her?" Janice confusedly asked.
Christopher awkwardly answered, "Just asking. I haven’t seen you go out with her recently."
Janice did not notice his awkwardness and answered, "She has been busy attending an academic forum recently."
She took her pajamas and went to the bathroom.
Christopher pondered for a mont and said.
"If we have ti, I want to invite her for a dinner. Thank her for taking care of you for so many years."
Janice stopped and looked over when she heard this.
"How do you know that it is she who takes care of , but not I that take care of her?" she asked depressed Ly.
Christopher asked, "Do you know how to take care of people?"
"Why don’t I?" Janice was a bit annoyed.
Christopher crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at her calmly. "Well, tell what you can take care of."
"I..."
Janice was suddenly speechless.
However, she didn’t want to be looked down by him, so she snorted, "I don’t want to talk to you. I am going to take a shower."
Then she turned to the bathroom.
Seeing this, Christopher quickly grabbed her arm.
"Are you angry?"
Janice rolled her eyes at him.
Looking at the bitter expression on her face, Christopher chuckled, "Well, it’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have joked with you. You are the best in my heart. Don’t be angry, okay?"
Hearing his apology, Janice felt much better. However, she also realized that her life ability was pretty weak.
She said, "However, what you said is also true. I am indeed quite stupid in life." She lowered her head in frustration.
Christopher said, "So, you are destined to et . What you can’t do, I can do, but what you can do, I can’t. We have different but complentary skills."
Janice knew that Christopher was comforting her, so she said, "Don’t comfort . You can do what I can do."
She felt that Christopher was omnipotent.
Christopher raised his eyebrows and said, "There is one thing that I really don’t know how to do."
"What?" Janice blinked.
Christopher stared at her curious eyes and blinked ambiguously. "Giving birth." Janice froze for a mont then she glared awkwardly at him. "You’re so annoying."
She was annoyed at his indecency.
Christopher wrapped his arms around her waist and asked in a low voice, "Why don’t we have a baby?"
There was an ambiguous flash of light in his eyes.
"Not yet, we’re still young." Janice was a little embarrassed.
"Am I young? I’m almost 30," he said.
"You’re not old. Besides, we haven’t been married for a long ti. I want to enjoy the lovers’ world more."
Christopher said in resignation, "Okay. It’s up to you."
"Hubby, you’re the best," Janice said as she tiptoed and kissed on his cheek, then hurried into the bathroom.
Christopher stroked the place where she had kissed and couldn’t help chuckling.
But when he thought of what Jas had asked him, he frowned again.
He picked up the phone and called Jas.
Jas picked up very quickly.
...
"I asked. Doctor White is attending an academic forum recently," said Christopher.
Jas was speechless.
"I doesn’t want to know her work, I want you to ask her personality."
Christopher frowned. "Do you think my wife would speak ill of her best friend? Can’t you be smarter?"
Jas thought for a mont and agreed, "All right, just pretend I didn’t say anything yesterday."
Christopher narrowed his eyes. "It’s too late. Jas, I won’t forget."
Christopher hung up the phone.
Jas listened to the beeping sound for a long while and finally ca to his senses.
Jas was in a ss and quickly called Daniel for help.
"Daniel, Chris wants to hurt . Please help." Daniel who just ca out of the bathroom after taking a shower, was frowned. "What have you done?"
Jas said guiltily, "I ntioned what happened between him and Sophie three years ago."
Daniel paused for a few seconds, and couldn’t help but twitch his lips.
"Serve you right. Good luck."
He hung up the phone.
Jas thought to himself, "Forget it, leave it to fate."
The next day, Janice was called into the office by Director Caleb.
"Janice, Look, these are stories that we received recently. See if there is anyone you think suitable. Pick it out and we’ll discuss it."
Director Caleb handed her a folder.
Janice received it and flipped through it. Most of them were repeated emotional disputes similar to the stories of the previous episodes.
She asked, "These are old cliche. Is there anything new?"
Director Caleb paused and then said, "Wait a minute. I rember I received an
email this morning, but I haven’t opened it yet."
With that, he opened his email box.
"Look at this." Director Caleb stood up and gave up his seat.
Janice walked over and looked at the computer screen. Her attention was quickly caught by the story.
She said, "Not bad. They’re childhood sweethearts. It’s down-to -earth. The woman is infatuated with the man. However, the man is already married, so there’s no way to give the two a happy ending."
Director Caleb nodded. "Indeed, the man is married so that the two have no opportunity. However, we can look at it from another perspective. What if the man doesn’t love his wife? Is that possible?"
Janice frowned. "We’d better not break up a married couple. I feel that we shouldn’t get involved no matter what perspective we look at it from, unless sothing is being withheld."
Director Caleb thought for a mont and said, "How about this? I’ll ask soone to contact the woman. If we can dig out so major secrets from them, we can discuss it again."
Janice thought,
When she returned to her seat, she recalled what Christopher had said last night.
Thinking of this, she dialed the number.
The call was soon picked up.
"Hello..."
Yvonne sounded lazy.
Janice curiously asked, "Yvonne, are you still sleeping?"
...
Yvonne replied, "Yes. I had classes late last night. What’s the matter?"
"Well, it’s just that I haven’t heard your voice in days. I miss you." Janice paused for a mont and said, "How about coming out for dinner tonight? My husband also said that he wanted to thank you for taking care of ." Upon hearing this, Yvonne perked up. "Okay, okay. Since your rich husband wants to treat , I will definitely co and have a big al."
"Okay, you can eat whatever you want."
After making an appointnt with Yvonne, Janice called Christopher.
"I have invited Yvonne this evening, co with ."
"I’d better not go and disturb the girl talk," Christopher said.
"It was you who asked to treat her." Janice was depressed.
Christopher frowned. "This was all Jas’s fault!" thought he.
At the sa ti, Jas sneezed for several tis.
Christopher had just robbed a project from him.
His losses were quite severe. Jas could only pray, "All right. Chris, please, don’t do anything more."
Suddenly his phone rang.
He looked at the screen and could not help but tremble.
"Chris, please let go. I won’t ntion it again. I promise." Jas answered the phone and begged for rcy.
Christopher frowned and then said, "I have sothing to tell you."
Hearing this, Jas was finally at ease.
"What is it?"
Christopher said, "I have to have dinner with my wife and her best friend tonight."
"So?" Jas asked in confusion.
"The address is..."
After that, Christopher hung up the phone.
Jas confusedly wondered,
Thinking of this, Jas could not help but breathe a sigh of relief.
At night, Janice and Christopher invited Yvonne to the barbecue shop they ca last ti.
The three of them sat down in the VIP seats on the second floor. "Janice, can I order anything I want to eat?" Yvonne asked in a low voice. Janice replied, "Of course."
Yvonne clicked her tongue twice.
She looked at the nu and rembered that because of Jas last ti, she had to leave before tasting the delicious food here.
This ti, Yvonne was determined to make up for it.
Then she began to order the dishes.
Janice sat by the side and drank the water. She hated ordering food the most, so she was happy to have Yvonne around. She glanced at Christopher next to her, only to find that he was looking at the ti from ti to ti.
Puzzled, Janice asked, "What’s wrong? Do you have sothing to do?"
Christopher shook his head. He did not like to eat with people he was not familiar with, even Janice’s best friend.
Therefore, he was looking forward to Jas’s arrival.
Just as Christopher was thinking about it, Jas arrived.
He ca striding along to them.
"Chris."
Christopher silently glanced at him.
Jas felt a little embarrassed and could only go greet Janice. "Ms. Gladwell."
When Janice saw Jas, she was surprised and subconsciously looked at Yvonne.
After all, Jas and Yvonne had a quarrel before, and it seed that Jas didn’t just co by to say hello.
"Hello, President Taylor," she said.
Jas hurriedly said, "Don’t call that. Just call Jas."
His gaze slowly landed on Yvonne, who was reading the nu. She did not even look at him.
