The door opened from outside. Daniel and Jas ca in, each carrying a fruit basket.
Jas put down the fruit basket and rushed up to give him a bear hug.
"Well done, Chris. You’re bound to have good fortune since you survived a great disaster."
However, the instant his voice broke off, Daniel snapped in disgust. "In my opinion, Chris is a hero saving a damsel in distress."
Jas pursed his lips. "Why do you say that? That’s his wife, so naturally he did it out of instinct."
The two of them bickered back and forth, leaving Christopher speechless. "Are both of you here to visit or to make fun of ?" He frowned.
Only then did both of them stop talking with an awkward smile.
"Well, Chris, when can you be discharged from the hospital? Danny and I are still waiting for you to join us for drinks again."
"Yeah, how is your wound?"
Daniel asked as well.
Christopher frowned. "Soon."
"That’s good. By the way, why are you here by yourself? Where’s your wife?" Jas looked around and asked in confusion.
Christopher’s face darkened upon hearing this. He was still thinking about his wife just now.
It was even till now that he was still slightly bewildered if he had a wife or not.
He frowned and asked, "Do I really have... a wife?"
Daniel and Jas were both stunned by his words.
"Chris, what’s wrong with you? Did the knife hurt your brain? You don’t even know if you have a wife or not?"
Jas teased.
"Yeah, Chris, what’s wrong with you?" Daniel also had a puzzled look on his face.
When Christopher heard their doubts, he paused for a mont and said, "I forgot sothing."
"Forget things? Could it be you get amnesia?" Jas asked in surprise. Daniel was also confused.

Christopher stared at the screen of his phone.

Christopher hurried to the rooftop. He saw Janice standing outside the railing from a distance across the layers of people who ca to the rescue.
Half of her body was suspended in mid-air, making her look very dangerous. Even if she did not take the initiative to jump down, she could still fall at any ti.
He thought, "Was this woman crazy?"
This scene made people break out in a cold sweat with fright more than what they saw in the video.
Christopher paused for a mont, and then walked past the crowd.

At this mont, Yvonne, who was standing in the front, saw Christopher and hurriedly said to Janice, "Janice, look, your husband is here."

He couldn’t help but complain.
Janice felt even more embarrassed about her current situation.
She thought, " Although I lied about jumping off the building, I did get scared up there."
After all, it was a building with more than 50 floors. She would have plumted to her death if she slipped of the ledge.
