"Stop saying that. If you scare like this again in the future, I won’t be your friend anymore."
She whined.
Janice was amused by her actions.
Yvonne wiped away her tears and said, "Your husband is here now. Hurry up and go ho with him."
Janice nodded. As she turned to look at Christopher, she noticed that he looked like he was in pain.
She quickly asked, "Hubby, what’s wrong with you?"
Christopher frowned. Hearing her question, he glanced at her.
"I’ve reopened my wound."
He said reluctantly.
Janice then realized that he had just torn his wound to carry her in his arms, so she felt a bit guilty.
"Hubby, I’m sorry."
Before she wanted to help him up, he stopped her.
"Don’t move. You won’t stop until you get killed, will you?"
Janice bit her lip, not daring to move for a mont.
Christopher couldn’t bear to see her pitiful look. He frowned and said, "Let’s go."
As he spoke, he passed through the crowd and walked towards the door.
Seeing this, Janice rushed to follow him.
Daniel was about to go after them, but he was stopped by Jas.
"Why are you going with them?"
Daniel was speechless.
"With his wife around, what are we going to do at his house?" Jas winked at him.
Daniel didn’t seem to co to his senses until now, but he was surprised when Jas thought it through. As Daniel was about to say sothing, he looked back and found that Jas was gone.
At this ti, Jas had already gone up to Yvonne.
"You’re here too."
He saw her as soon as he ca up.
However, Yvonne rolled her eyes at him.
"Aren’t you abroad? When did you co back?"
"I just ca back today."
Jas said with a smile, "By the way, what did you call for?"
It would have been fine if he had not ntioned that call. However, Yvonne would be angry if she thought about it.
The more Yvonne thought about it, the angrier she beca.
"It was nothing."
After saying that, she turned around and angrily walked away.
Jas was confused, and then he quickly followed her.
The rooftop, which was packed with people, was instantly empty.
After everyone left, Benjamin walked out of the corner.
He stared at the crowd leaving as he smiled with a dejected look.
Janice followed Christopher out of the entrance of the Bateman Group building. From afar, she saw a group of dia workers waiting over there.
They were all from the sa dia industry who had helped her with live streaming the act earlier.
It was Janice who had asked Lucy to find those dia workers to help her hype it up. If they had not spared their efforts to repost it, Janice would not have achieved her goal.
Janice looked at them with gratitude, especially Lucy standing there.
If it weren’t for her help, she probably wouldn’t have been able to see Christopher.
She looked at Lucy and slightly nodded to express her gratitude.
When Lucy saw that Janice had finally gotten what she wanted, she was sincerely happy for her.
"What are you waiting for? Get in the car!"
When Christopher walked to the front of the car and found that she was still standing there, he impatiently reminded her.
Only then did Janice co back to her senses. And then she walked over, opened the door, and sat in the car.
The car just drove out slowly.
At the sa ti, Sophie slowly walked out from the crowd.
She had rushed over after she saw the trending topics on Twitter. However, before she could enter the Bateman Group building, Janice and Christopher had already left.
Thus, she had arrived too late to see the "dramatic" scene that had just been presented to the public.

As Sophie stared at the car that drove away, she was felt imnsely dissatisfied.
Thinking of this, Sophie hurriedly headed towards the company building.
At this mont, Nathan was sitting in his seat in the office.
He was listening to Denise’s retelling of public opinion about this incident on Twitter.
"Mr. Bateman, this incident has had a hugely negative impact on the Bateman Group. Right now, everyone on social dia is condemning the company and... you, personally."
As soon as Denise finished speaking, Nathan said angrily, "What are those people doing in the PR departnt? Remove all the relevant tweets! Remove them imdiately. Don’t they even know how to do this?"
Denise frowned. "It’s not that they won’t remove them. And it’s just that they can’t, because people keep re- uploading the videos. And the more we suppress the tweets, the greater the backlash of public opinions will be."

As soon as Sophie finished speaking, she saw that Nathan did not look well. And then she asked, "Are you alright?"
Nathan was not in a good mood. When he heard her ntion this, he beca more upset. And then he only glanced at her and said nothing.
Sophie seed to realize sothing. She softened her tone and tentatively asked, "Dad, are you not going to stop it?"
It would have been fine if she had not ntioned it. However, Nathan’s expression turned even uglier when she ntioned it.
He wanted to stop it, but the consequences would only make public opinion worse.
If it affected the stock market by then, it would be even more troubleso. The shareholders would hold him directly responsible.
He was a shrewd businessman, so he knew the pros and cons very well.
Even if he didn’t like Janice, he wouldn’t joke about the future of the Bateman Group.
He said impatiently, "Forget it. Let them be."
As he spoke, he slowly stood up.
Sophie was stunned, for she couldn’t believe that Nathan would actually surrender like that.
"Dad, are you going to let that woman go back to my brother?"
She asked.
Nathan sighed. "This incident has already had a negative effect on public opinion. It will not benefit the company’s stock price if we act rashly. Let them be."
As he spoke, he slowly walked out of the office.
"Dad..."
As Sophie stared at his receding figure, she stumbled.
She thought, "Am I going to give up like this?"
She felt abandoned again.

At this point, she could not admit defeat. Otherwise, all the previous efforts she had made would be wasted. Thinking of this, she coldly stood up straight.

The car drove to the gate of the sanatorium in the suburbs.

No wonder she and Yvonne had searched all the hospitals in Tomaville but couldn’t find him.

Seeing that she was standing in the doorway and had no intention of following him, Christopher reminded her.

While she was thinking, Christopher had taken off his coat and shown off his broad back. Perhaps it was because he tore the wound quite severely before, since the white bandage on the wound had been stained with blood.

"It’s bleeding. I’ll call a doctor for you."

She always felt that this would not work. Since the wound had torn, it should be examined or even treated again by a professional doctor. Therefore, how could she, an amateur, do it?
She said, "I can’t do it. I’ll call the doctor."
As she spoke, she was about to turn around.
However, Christopher reached out and dragged her back.
Then, she fell into his bare chest.
"I told you not to do that. Don’t you understand?"
He suddenly said in a hostile tone.
Janice stared blankly for a bit before she ca back to her senses and stuttered, "Well... Okay... I’ll do it."
She took the bandages and wrapped them around his back. When she saw the layers of bandages on his back, her eyes turned red.
She hadn’t seen his wounds since the incident at the house when he was stabbed.
At that mont, although his wounds were wrapped in bandages, she could still feel that he was seriously injured.
She thought he must be in severe pain. Tears welled up in her eyes at this thought. "Why don’t you start it?" Christopher suddenly asked.
Janice imdiately wiped her tears and carefully wrapped bandages around his wound.
"All right."
After bandaging his wounds, she took a step back.
Christopher slightly stretched his arms before putting on his clothes. He imdiately turned around, glanced at her, and then lay down on his side on the bed.
Seeing this, Janice placed the bandages aside.
However, when she thought about his wound, she subconsciously took a few steps towards the door.
As soon as Christopher turned his head, he saw her standing at the door, confused.

"Are you planning to stand there still?"
Janice originally wanted to go out and call the doctor when he wasn’t paying attention. After all, his wound was bleeding, so she didn’t feel relieved. However, before she could go out, she was spotted by him.
She could only walk back to his side.
