Alan Morgan furrowed his brows, glancing at Phoebe Walker’s arm under the running faucet.
It was bright red; it looked like a burn.
He then looked at the woman standing beside Phoebe Walker’s desk.
He seed to understand. Did she cause trouble?
"What happened?" Alan Morgan walked over, standing before Phoebe Walker.
"This new girl, Nia Mitchell, actually splashed coffee on ! Does MC really need such an employee?"
Because of the height difference, Phoebe Walker had to tilt her head up to look directly at Alan Morgan, appearing particularly arrogant.
Alan Morgan glanced at Nia Mitchell.
"I asked what happened, not what happened to you."
Alan Morgan’s face turned cold. "MC doesn’t need Nia Mitchell?"
Hmph. And I suppose MC doesn’t need CEO Pei either?
Phoebe Walker was taken aback and utterly furious. Does this Special Assistant Morgan think he owns the company? To be so cutting and still defend *her*—isn’t he afraid of offending , Phoebe Walker?
"I already told you what happened! She spilled coffee on my arm. I want her to compensate for my loss."
Phoebe Walker gritted her teeth. Tomorrow was her birthday. She had ordered a sleeveless dress from Milan specifically for the occasion. What if her arm was burned?
Damn it! Then she wouldn’t be able to wear that dress. No, she absolutely couldn’t let this bitch off the hook.
"Why did she splash you?"
It wasn’t that Alan Morgan didn’t trust Phoebe Walker; Nia Mitchell simply wasn’t the type to hurt soone without reason. Though, admittedly, she *had* kicked soone into the hospital just two days ago, and that person still hadn’t been discharged.
Shirley Grant from Team B had seed a bit off ever since Alan Morgan entered.
After hesitating for a long mont, she lifted her head.
"The Special Assistant might not know, but soone here was hurling insults like a dog just now. The person being insulted snapped. Frankly, it’s a blessing the coffee wasn’t thrown in her face."
Shirley Grant stood up, a flawless smile on her face.
Her delicate makeup shone under the lights, and her expressive eyes drew everyone’s attention.
But Alan Morgan only glanced at her briefly before looking away.
"So, Secretary Walker, this incident started with you."
You insult soone, and you should count yourself lucky they didn’t smash your face in, yet you have the gall to play the victim?
Phoebe Walker glared at Alan Morgan.
"Yes, Special Assistant Morgan, I insulted her! If she has the guts, she can insult back. Why did she have to splash coffee on ? Now I’m burned; she has to take responsibility, right?"
Compared to insults, wasn’t Nia Mitchell’s action today far worse? Was Alan Morgan really planning to publicly protect her in front of everyone in the Secretary Departnt?
Nia Mitchell, anger still simring, walked over with her empty coffee cup.
"No one is born for you to insult them as you please. You deserved it."
If I had been the one bullied by her today, she probably wouldn’t have thought it was a big deal. Now that the roles are reversed, *she’s* the one who can’t take it?
"Isn’t it just a burn? I’ll pay for your dical expenses; that should be enough."
Saying this, Nia Mitchell reached for her bag and took out her wallet.
I seem to be paying for dical expenses a lot these days...
"You think compensation can just settle this?"
Phoebe Walker was imdiately outraged upon hearing Nia Mitchell’s words.
She was usually the one saying such things! She was the one who would arrogantly compensate others, throwing a wad of cash at them. How things had changed today!
