"Did you call Charles Northwood?"
Fiona Sutton, with her head lowered, suddenly changed the subject and also grabbed a bag of potato chips.
"No, I called him before my engagent. He said he would be quite busy, so he asked not to call him unless it was sothing important. He said he would call when he was free."
Nia Mitchell smiled, explaining to Fiona Sutton why she hadn’t called him.
Fiona Sutton bit her lip. Usually so straightforward, she really didn’t know how to bring this up with Nia Mitchell.
"So, you never called him again?"
"Yes."
Nia Mitchell nodded. Charles Northwood had already told her not to disturb him; how could she be shaless enough to go looking for him?
"Nia Mitchell, oh, Nia Mitchell, I really don’t know what to do with either of you."
Fiona Sutton sighed. Looking at the shelves packed with snacks, she suddenly lost all interest.
"You should call him soti. Tell him about what happened to you before. Maybe, in just a few hours, he’ll appear right before you."
Fiona Sutton turned her head, looking seriously into Nia Mitchell’s eyes, hoping she would understand her hint.
Seeing the suddenly serious Fiona Sutton, Nia Mitchell couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"How is that possible? He went to the USA on business and is incredibly busy. Plus, he’s not Superman; he can’t just suddenly appear before ."
Nia Mitchell joked, finding Fiona Sutton’s teasing unbearable.
Fiona Sutton gave a bitter smile. Nia Mitchell truly hadn’t realized anything, had she? Suddenly, she felt Charles Northwood was rather pitiful. How had he gotten himself entangled like this?
