Maxwell Peary shook his head helplessly. He took off her shoes and socks and covered her with a blanket.
"Annoying!"
Nia Mitchell suddenly yelled, kicking the blanket away.
Maxwell’s handso face gradually darkened as he looked at Nia’s reckless sleeping posture.
Damn it, this was unbearable.
Maxwell forcefully lunged at Nia, imdiately covering her cherry-red lips with his own.
"Mmph..."
In her sleep, Nia felt as if she were drowning. It was so uncomfortable, like she had no oxygen. She felt like she was about to die.
SWOOSH!
She opened her large eyes, and what t her gaze was an enlarged handso face... well... part of it.
Oh crap, she wasn’t drowning! Clearly, the CEO was launching a sneak attack!
Nia forcefully pushed the CEO away.
HUFF! HUFF!
Having air felt so good.
Nia took several deep breaths, her eyes burning with anger. She sat up and glared at the expressionless CEO.
"You’ve gone too far!"
Nia clenched her fists. "Damn it!" she roared. She was going to revolt!
A smile played on Maxwell’s lips as he slowly sat down, adopting an expression that said, ’I’m all ears.’
"How dare you ambush like that? Were you trying to suffocate ?"
Uncle Peary wouldn’t be trying to murder her, would he? Using such a thod was too cruel!
"I did call out to you, but you ignored ."
Nia was speechless. How could I have responded when I was asleep?
"You’re awake now, aren’t you? And you’re fine, right?"
Murder? If he, Maxwell Peary, wanted to murder soone, would he give that person a chance to question him? No, no! Too naive.
If Nia knew what Maxwell was thinking at that mont, she would have roared at him in frustration, It’s not that I’m naive! You’re the one who takes things too seriously!
"Then let ask you, I was sleeping soundly. Why did you have to kiss ?"
After saying this, Nia imdiately clapped a hand over her mouth, only her wide, darting eyes left staring at him.
Maxwell raised an eyebrow, looking at her ambiguously.
"Do I need a reason to kiss my own wife?"
This was him being a perfectly legal rogue.
Nia choked. Why did it feel like the CEO was actually making sense, even though he was clearly just twisting words and making excuses? And why couldn’t she refute him?
She furrowed her delicate eyebrows, sitting there with a conflicted expression.
Sotis, she wished she had a sharper tongue. That way, she wouldn’t be at such a complete loss when arguing with the CEO and might actually gain so advantage.
"But you didn’t get my permission!"
Nia eagerly shifted her position, kneeling on the bed. This way, she was a bit taller and could look down on the CEO.
She had to defeat Maxwell Peary, at least in terms of presence!
"Would you agree?"
Maxwell calmly returned her question. If he had sought her opinion, he probably wouldn’t have gotten to taste the ’rabbit at’ by now.
Nia blushed. Okay, it seed the CEO understood her personality quite well.
For her to agree to the CEO kissing her... impossible.
But she couldn’t let the CEO win. So, she braced herself.
"Of course, I would agree."
She said with a grin. Haha, I need to watch the CEO’s expression carefully. He must be shocked!
However, a mont later, Maxwell still remained expressionless. And with just one sentence, he... shot her down.
"Since you would agree to kissing you, was I wrong to kiss you earlier?"
