The phone carried Edbert’s cheerful laughter.
"I’m right outside your company."
"Alright, I’m coming down."
Nia Mitchell brushed aside her gloominess and glanced at the closed door of the CEO’s Office after hanging up the phone.
After hesitating for a long while, she eventually walked away directly.

"How co you have ti to treat to dinner today? Not attending any social events?"
Nia Mitchell opened Edbert’s car with ease and began teasing him as soon as they t.
"I have social events, but as a capitalist, I specifically canceled all of them to have dinner with you."
Edbert raised an eyebrow and closed the car window.
"Where are we going to eat?"
Nia Mitchell buckled up her seatbelt and casually asked while smiling.
"Let’s go to Lotus Residence; it’s pretty quiet there."
Lotus Residence was a place where the upper class gathered and was not accessible to ordinary people. It was also a dining spot many stars chose.
"Alright, you’re the host, it’s your call."
Nia Mitchell thought for a mont. Although she and Fiona Sutton had caused an unpleasant scene there before, it was Edbert who had suggested it, after all.
「Lotus Residence」
Retaining its classic, antique charm, Nia Mitchell and Edbert walked shoulder to shoulder through the Grand Gate. The waiter who welcod them was unfamiliar to Nia Mitchell, and her heart instantly settled.
"Mr. Zhong."
All the employees here were very sharp. They would rember any prominent figure who had visited even once. Moreover, Edbert was a regular custor here.
"How many in your party, Mr. Zhong?"
"Just the two of us. The usual private room, please."
"Alright. Mr. Lu is also here today. Would you like to go over and greet him?"
Whenever Edbert ca to Lotus Residence, if Mr. Lu was present, he would go to greet him, so the waiter inford him in advance.
"He’s here too?"
Edbert nodded, then turned and looked at Nia Mitchell.
"You go to the private room first; I’ll be there shortly."
"Okay."
As Nia Mitchell watched Edbert walk away, she smiled at the waiter. Just as she was about to leave, she spotted the waiter who had been standing at the counter last ti.
"Well, well. I didn’t expect riff-raff like you would dare to show your face in Lotus Residence again."
The waiter sneered, wondering how Nia had managed to get in since she was alone.

Talk about enemies crossing paths; this was probably it.
In such a vast place like Lotus Residence, she had to run into an acquaintance right as she walked in. This truly felt like an ill-fated encounter.
"Oh? And you think you have what it takes to kick out today?"
Nia Mitchell scoffed. Her mood was already foul, and now that soone was deliberately provoking her, she felt even worse.
"How did she get in?"
The sneering waiter turned to her colleague who had shown Nia in and asked, right in front of Nia Mitchell.
"She ca with Mr. Zhong from Star dia."
Mr. Zhong? Haha! Good heavens, to think this woman managed to latch onto such a powerful connection. She must have worked quite hard at it.
"I see. If I recall correctly, Mr. Zhong brings a different companion every ti he visits, doesn’t he?" the waiter said, her words dripping with provocation. She then turned to Nia Mitchell, a look of feigned kindness on her face. "You may strut around Lotus Residence all you like, but to Mr. Zhong, you’re just one of many."
The waiter looked at Nia Mitchell smugly. Last ti, Nia and her friend had caused a scene here, yet Nia had walked out with her head held high. But she, the waiter, had ended up being reprimanded by Yancy Hastings, and even had half a month’s salary and her annual bonus deducted.
She had always held a grudge about this, secretly vowing that if she ran into those two sowhere else next ti, she would make them pay.
I can’t believe this woman dares to show her face in Lotus Residence again! Hmph!
