Nia Mitchell was taken aback, sowhat in disbelief about what Maxwell Peary had just said.
Was he introducing her?
No, that’s not right. Why would he introduce her to Alan Morgan’s father?
Nia looked at the CEO, hoping he would provide so explanation.
"Ah, so you’re Mrs. Peary."
Mr. Morgan stood up, extending his hand to shake Nia’s.
Seeing this, Nia extended her hand in return, but it was suddenly seized mid-reach by the CEO.
Eh...
Nia blushed, looking at her right hand, which was tightly held. She felt sowhat embarrassed.
Clearly, Nia was not the only one feeling awkward. There was also Mr. Morgan, standing in front of them, his right hand awkwardly outstretched.

Maxwell stood there with a cold face, pulling Nia aside.

Nia awkwardly followed Maxwell’s pace. Did he really need to do it this way?
"I only ca to deliver docunts."
Nia finally managed to pull her right hand back, pouting as she glared at Maxwell.
That glare stirred up a restlessness in Maxwell’s heart.
"Also, Phoebe Walker is looking for you. She is waiting in the Secretary Departnt."
After finishing her business, Nia was ready to leave but was held back by Maxwell.
"What is it?"
She looked at him strangely, sowhat puzzled.
"Co with to the old house tonight."
Nia flinched. The old house... Samuel Peary... Phoebe Harris...
"Alright, get back to work."
Because outsiders were present, Maxwell didn’t do anything excessive.
Nia nodded, flashed an apologetic smile at Mr. Morgan, then imdiately hurried out of the CEO Office.
「Secretary Departnt」
At the sound of footsteps, everyone looked up to see Nia coming from the CEO Office.
"CEO Peary is busy at the mont."
Indeed, he was busy, though she wasn’t sure exactly what he was busy with.
"Do you know who he was eting with?"
That person hadn’t made an appointnt through the Secretary Departnt, and everyone had been guessing who it could be. They couldn’t figure it out; Young Master Peary was capable enough to et high-ranking officials or dignitaries from other countries.
"Mr. Morgan from Morgan Family Corporation."
Nia sat back down at her desk and resud her work.
Morgan Family Corporation?
Everyone was sowhat surprised, not quite understanding.
There hadn’t been any collaboration between Morgan Family and MC, so why would CEO Peary...
Could it be that CEO Peary is planning to collaborate with Morgan Family?
It was quite possible. After all, Morgan Family Corporation was impressive and well-known in Capital Town.
If the two companies ford an alliance, it would definitely be a powerful partnership.
Nia’s mind was preoccupied with the trip to the old house that evening. With outsiders present earlier, she hadn’t been able to ask for details about why they were going.
Thinking about Samuel Peary and Phoebe Harris made her head throb.
She hadn’t been nursing her headache for long when her phone rang.
"Hello?"
Seeing an unfamiliar number, Nia had intended to hang up but accidentally answered it.
"Nia."
Evelyn Peary’s voice ca through the phone. Nia was startled and imdiately sat up straighter.
"What’s up?"
She had a rather good impression of Evelyn Peary.
"Nia, please ask my brother to save ! I don’t want to marry Yancy Hastings!!!"
