Nia Mitchell nodded. It would be strange if he didn’t have a social engagent.
When she worked at Star dia as a secretary, EdbertNia Mitchell often went out for such engagents.
She had accompanied him once or twice. However, after Hendry Hampton expressed his disapproval and she inford EdbertNia Mitchell, he never took her out again.
"I’ll go have dinner with Fiona Sutton."
She had already decided to tell Fiona Sutton about her marriage.
Maxwell didn’t think much about it and nodded.
Fiona Sutton, who was still lounging in the Dormitory, had no idea that she would hear shocking news at noon today.
Nia Mitchell arrived at the Secretaries’ Office Room in Maxwell Peary’s car, just a minute or two before the CEO went upstairs.
She was a bit early today. Sophia Moore hadn’t arrived yet.
In the Office Room, several junior secretaries were discussing Sophia Moore’s failed attempt to beco a Special Assistant.
Everyone was laughing hilariously, endlessly teasing Sophia Moore.
"I’ve always said, Sophia’s intentions are clear to everyone," Secretary A said, laughing.
"Yes, but I see she’s not short on ambition. She wants the position, and she even covets the man she shouldn’t be thinking about."
Who doesn’t know about the CEO’s abilities? Even just having so connection with Young Master Peary would be a great honor, let alone becoming Mrs. Peary.
"I’ll never forget her expression at that ti. HA HA HA! Such a huge letdown! You reap what you sow." Secretary B laughed, her face a picture of exaggeration. As she spoke, she kept glancing cautiously at the door, afraid that soone who shouldn’t might overhear.
"Oh, Nia’s here."
The conversation stopped abruptly when Secretary A saw Nia.
"Ti to work. I wonder what kind of spell Nia has cast. Every ti she arrives, the CEO is sure to show up one or two minutes later."
Secretary C sat down listlessly, stared at her computer, and then started working.
Hearing their words, Nia laughed awkwardly.
She and the CEO ca to the Company together. It would be strange if they didn’t arrive around the sa ti.
Just as Secretary C finished speaking, sure enough, Maxwell was seen in the distance, walking towards them.
"What kind of luck is this? I’m starting to suspect... Nia, you don’t actually co in with the CEO, do you?"
Secretary B spoke coldly, glancing at Nia after she finished.
Although her words sounded doubtful, her tone was indeed laced with bitterness.
Her expression clearly showed disbelief.
"If I said I ca in with the CEO, would you believe ?"
Who could have guessed she was Mrs. Peary?
The secretaries clearly didn’t believe it, and they all went back to their work.
However, Secretary A furrowed her brow.
Others might not have noticed, but the clothes Nia was wearing were clearly not ordinary.
So, she imdiately sent a private ssage to a few of her close friends in the Office Room, telling them to take a look.
"Damn! It really looks like a designer brand! Look at the fabric and the craftsmanship."
A junior secretary, typing furiously, sent a long ssage to several people’s computers.
"Who would have thought? Nia always seems so innocent, but it turns out she’s just another woman taking shortcuts."
Everyone kept murmuring in surprise. All the while, only Nia was oblivious to it all.
Just then, Sophia Moore walked in.
"Well, well. Such a relaxed attitude towards work. The boss has been here for quite so ti, yet this Employee only just arrives. We really have to wonder if our Head Secretary is professional at all."
