"Sophia Moore, you’re seriously ill. You should go to the hospital and get the right treatnt," Nia Mitchell said.
Nia Mitchell tsked, shaking her head with a look of pity, and then left the secretary’s office.

Pushing the door open, she found the room filled with an air of seriousness. The black-and-white minimalist decor naturally put anyone entering on alert, warning them against any carelessness.
Maxwell Peary wasn’t at his desk handling docunts. Instead, he had taken off his suit jacket and was reclining lazily on the sofa.
Seeing him like this, Nia Mitchell was sowhat unsure of his intentions. "You were looking for ?"
"Co here." Without looking at her, Maxwell patted the spot beside him on the sofa.
After a mont’s hesitation, Nia Mitchell sat down.
"What did Charles Northwood say to you today?"
Why isn’t she asking anything? Why isn’t she showing any expression at all? Maxwell wondered. It’s as if nothing happened. This version of Nia Mitchell is sowhat unfathomable. Even for Maxwell Peary, a man who dominated the Shopping Mall, it was difficult to see through his little wife this ti. He truly hadn’t known Nia Mitchell could be this stoic.
"Charles Northwood?" Nia Mitchell paused, taken aback. Why is the CEO ntioning Charles Northwood? How does he know Charles called today?
Adhering to her principle of asking when in doubt, Nia Mitchell voiced her questions directly.
"You don’t need to worry about that for now. Just tell , what did he say to you?" Maxwell steered the conversation back on track, not wanting Nia Mitchell to lead it astray.
"Uncle, I think Charles Northwood has changed. He’s even started making wild jokes." Nia Mitchell pursed her lips. She knew her Uncle’s character better than anyone. Besides, Uncle has always disliked Phoebe Walker.
If Charles Northwood had said Maxwell was involved with so other woman, she might have felt conflicted, upset, and let her imagination run wild. But to say he was getting a room with Phoebe Walker! HAHA! Charles Northwood clearly has no idea how much Uncle despises Phoebe Walker.
So, Nia Mitchell recounted what Charles Northwood had said during his second call to her at noon that day.
After she finished, Maxwell reached up and rubbed his temples.
Alright, alright, he conceded defeat. He’d been wondering how his guileless Rabina Mitchell, who always wore her heart on her sleeve, was managing to stay so calm and collected today, how she was reining in her emotions so well. It turned out she simply hadn’t believed a word Charles Northwood said.
"That joke really went too far. You should stay away from friends like that in the future," Maxwell concluded, reaching out to stroke Nia Mitchell’s hair.
"We’re going to Madgar Pavilion for dinner tonight. Evelyn called to inform us," Maxwell said.
As for his younger sister, Evelyn Peary, how could he, her older brother, not understand her intentions? She hadn’t been contacting him this frequently before. Wasn’t it because the turmoil surrounding her marriage hadn’t ended, and she wanted to curry favor with him, hoping to persuade him to take her side?
"What’s the latest on Evelyn’s marriage situation?" Nia Mitchell’s eyes widened with curiosity. She hadn’t been thinking about it, but the ntion of Evelyn Peary imdiately piqued her interest in the outco.
"I don’t know; I haven’t asked. But Evelyn hasn’t called crying or complaining, so her marriage issue probably isn’t settled yet."
