Maxwell Peary took out his phone and made a call to Owen Lewis. Judging by the ti, he should have just landed.
"Boss?"
Owen Lewis had just gotten off the plane when his phone started ringing. Seeing it was Maxwell, he picked up imdiately.
"Set up a desk and chair in the Special Assistant’s Office Room."
Lewis was taken aback, not quite sure how to react.
"Why?"
Why all of a sudden set up an office desk and chair? Moreover, if that’s the case, he should have ordered the relevant departnt. Why call ?
"Take a guess."
The unpredictable CEO had uncharacteristically said sothing like this.
Owen Lewis, who was walking forward while on his phone, nearly slipped and fell flat on his face.
During these few days of his wedding leave, what on earth happened to the Boss that would make him say "Take a guess"?
No, no, I must call Alan Morgan and ask about this later.
After hanging up the phone, Owen Lewis dialed Alan Morgan’s number.
But no one picked up.
Owen Lewis sighed and hesitated for a mont before dialing Annie Davidson’s number.
"Don’t fucking call ! I’m telling you, I’m dead."
Annie picked up, ranted for a mont, then abruptly hung up and casually tossed her phone out the window.
At this mont, the taxi driver driving Annie was not at all calm.
Is this girl crazy?
Such a good phone, and she just threw it away!
It’s a pity I can’t stop to pick it up. I feel like I just lost billions...
"What are you looking at? Drive your car!"
Annie yelled angrily, then took out another phone and called Maxwell.
"Maxwell, you madman! I’m back."
Annie spoke angrily, her voice loud and clear. Even Nia Mitchell, who was sitting next to Maxwell, could hear everything distinctly.
"Did you quarrel with Lewis?"
Maxwell frowned. Detecting her tone, he didn’t say anything else but started with this question.
Annie choked up. That madman Maxwell! He’s always guessing things correctly, no matter what.
"Yes, we haven’t gotten our marriage certificate anyway. Breaking up now is better than having a second marriage later."
Annie spoke angrily, but deep inside she felt miserable.
"I don’t want to ddle in your private affairs. Solve it yourselves."
Maxwell didn’t want to get involved. Annie’s personality was so fiery, and only Lewis could handle her. But sotis, even Lewis didn’t want to deal with her anymore, and then there was nothing to be done.
"Of course, I’ll solve it myself. I’m breaking up with him now, not divorcing him."
We haven’t even gotten married yet. What kind of husband and wife are we? At most, we’re just dating.
Annie looked at the engagent ring on her hand and, in her anger, pulled it off, wanting to throw it out the window too.
Just as her hand extended out the window, she regretted it.
After much hesitation, she put the ring inside her bag.
anwhile, Owen Lewis, still at the airport, was also in a terrible mood because he discovered all the money in his wallet was missing.
Of course, there was a note left inside his wallet.
"I took all the money and the card. Consider it paynt for sleeping with you these past few days."
Owen Lewis’s temples throbbed; he wished he could drag Annie over and give her a good beating.
He took out his phone, ready to call a driver to pick him up, but he received a text ssage alert from the bank.
"Dear custor, your account xxx...xxx successfully transferred the entire balance on the 15th at 15:37. Current balance: 0."
Owen Lewis raised an eyebrow. So, this ssage ans to tell I currently have zero savings? Not a single cent left?
