The phone suddenly rang, disrupting the silence of the entire room.
He walked over, looked at the caller ID, and picked it up.
"Young Master Morgan, we have arrived at Capital Town."
A man’s stern voice ca from the other end of the phone.
"Well, I’ve sent soone to pick you up. You will stay at the Royal Dynasty Hotel for now."
Alan Morgan’s voice was chillingly cold.
"But Young Master Morgan, our ti..."
"I will pay you regardless. Do you think I, the young master of the Morgan Family, cannot afford to pay you?"

As expected, the person on the other end relented after hearing his words.

With a click, Alan Morgan hung up the phone.

Far away in Capital Town, Gerry, frightened, shrank into Shirley Grant’s embrace.
"Don’t be afraid, Gerry. It’s just thunder. Look, it’s not scary at all."
Shirley Grant tried to calm the terrified Gerry, constantly observing his complexion.
Gerry tried to suppress his palpitations, nodding weakly, his face pale.
"Mom, why hasn’t Uncle returned yet? Is Uncle afraid of thunder?"
Gerry stared up at Shirley Grant, his wide, tear-filled eyes evoking a sense of pity.
"Uncle is working and might not be coming back tonight. How about we go upstairs to rest?"
Unbelievably, Shirley Grant hadn’t taken Gerry to the middle of nowhere; instead, she had brought him back to Capital Town.
They were in a huge Mansion. A re glance at the Living Room’s decor was enough to reveal its splendor.
However, this Villa was very secluded, seemingly isolated and cut off from the outside world, with no signs of anyone nearby.
"Yes, Mom, don’t worry. Gerry is a brave boy. He’s not afraid of thunder."
Gerry tilted his small face up, reaching out to smooth Shirley Grant’s furrowed brow.
A warmth spread through Shirley Grant’s heart, and she gently patted his head.
"Yes, Gerry is a brave boy and is afraid of nothing."
As she led him upstairs, a bolt of lightning cut across the sky. Shirley Grant imdiately crouched down to Gerry’s level, hastily covering his small ears with her hands.
Gerry copied her, stretching out his own small hands to cover Shirley Grant’s ears.
When Ethan Martinez walked in, this was the heartwarming scene that greeted him at the foot of the stairs.
"Uncle!"
Gerry was the first to spot Ethan Martinez, and he imdiately scampered over to him.
Ethan Martinez took off his cap, mask, and glasses.
