Edbert Mitchell smirked coldly, his face full of mockery.
Nonchalantly sitting down on a nearby chair, his eyes were filled with rage as he looked at Ethan Martinez.
"What do you think your future will be if Star dia blacklists you?"
While Ethan Martinez’s success ca largely from his own efforts, a part of it was attributed to his contract with Star dia. One could say it was Star dia that had single-handedly propelled him to fa. If they decided to blacklist him now, given Edbert Mitchell’s current position of power, it would be an easy task.
"I can just quit being a star, if it cos to that."
He would still be able to find a job even if he left the Entertainnt Circle. However, he quickly thought of Shirley Grant and Gerry Peary. If he really quit his stardom, how would he be able to quickly earn money? Gerry’s treatnt would undoubtedly require a large sum of money, and Shirley didn’t want to involve Alan Morgan.
"Planning to ruin both us and yourself, are you?" Edbert Mitchell had naturally noticed Ethan Martinez’s changed expression, reading his thoughts like an open book.
Ethan Martinez was taken aback, his eyebrows knitted in thought. "She’s my sister’s child."
Ethan Martinez was a man of principle. If he said it, he definitely ant it. Edbert Mitchell nodded, understanding. No matter how big the problem, Star dia would be able to handle it, provided Ethan Martinez remained truthful to the company.
"Go handle this situation." Edbert Mitchell gestured to an associate before standing up. "Ethan Martinez, don’t think that because you’re popular now, you can do whatever you want in Star dia. The world is far bigger than you think."
How could Star dia not have safeguards in place for an artist as successful as Ethan?
Watching Edbert Mitchell leave, Ethan Martinez continued to rest, putting aside his worries.
The heavy rain last night had lessened today, although light showers continued nonstop.
Nia Mitchell got off Maxwell Peary’s car, smiling and waving at him. "Goodbye, Uncle!"
According to Maxwell’s intentions, he had planned to accompany her to see Fiona Sutton. However, he received news this morning about a problem with a previous military shipnt. He had to handle the situation as quickly as possible. This would normally have fallen on Lewis’s shoulders, but Lewis was temporarily substituting for Alan’s job now.
"If she makes things difficult for you, don’t hesitate to ignore her." Maxwell couldn’t bear to bully Bunny himself, let alone let her be subjected to any mistreatnt.
"I know, you should get going so you don’t miss your work." Nia smiled, waving goodbye to him.
Seeing her eagerness to send him away, Maxwell sighed. "Co here for a mont."
Opening the car door, Maxwell didn’t get out but signaled for her to co closer by a few steps.
"What is it?" Nia walked up curiously, but to her surprise, he pulled her towards him as soon as she got close.
"UH!" His cold, fierce lips locked onto hers, causing Nia’s face to flush deeply. Maxwell disregarded her struggling, pried open her lips, and danced his tongue around hers.
After a good three minutes, Nia, blushing, managed to push Maxwell away. She gave her flushed cheeks a pat and closed the car door for him. "You should go and work now!"
Nia wiped her bright red lips awkwardly. Could anyone tell they had just been kissed? If it was obvious she had been kissed, how was she going to face others?
