Oh my God! Yancy Hastings, do you have to be so ruthless?
Fiona Sutton’s face fell as she turned to look at Yancy Hastings. "Have you the heart?"
Hearing her voice, Yancy Hastings’s eyes twitched, and a shiver ran down his spine.
Sohow, despite usually detesting uncouth and ill-mannered won, he felt Fiona Sutton was more genuine this way.
"Stay out of places like this at night from now on."
He recalled finding her completely drunk at a bar during his last mission, and his brow furrowed.
It was bad enough that she got drunk, but she even grabbed people and kissed them. If he hadn’t been there last ti, would she have kissed soone else?
"It’s none of your business."
Fiona Sutton rolled her eyes. This classless man, thinking he could control whether she drank or not.
"We’ll see if it is."
With that, Yancy Hastings turned the car around a corner and pulled up to a hotel.
What the hell?!
Fiona Sutton eyed Yancy Hastings warily. "You classless man! Didn’t I ask you to take to school?"
Fiona Sutton bristled. She had truly misjudged Yancy Hastings. He wasn’t just classless; he was a scumbag, shaless, a beast in human clothing!
"What nonsense are you thinking?" Yancy Hastings, annoyed, tapped her forehead with his right index finger.
Fiona Sutton imdiately clapped a hand to her forehead, glaring at him.
"I need to dry my clothes. How else can I return to the military base?"
With that, Yancy Hastings opened the car door and got out. Fiona Sutton had no choice but to follow him inside.
The Presidential Suite was luxurious, a world away from Fiona Sutton’s cramped apartnt.
As soon as they entered, Yancy Hastings headed into the bathroom for a shower. Fiona Sutton pouted, muttering complaints to herself, set the air conditioner to a warr temperature, and sat down in a chair.
On the coffee table sat a bottle of expensive red wine. Fiona Sutton, who loved wine as if it were life itself, hesitated for two minutes before opening it.
"This is delicious."
Like a child who had secretly eaten honey, the corners of her eyes crinkled with a smile as she sipped the wine.
When Yancy Hastings erged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, he found Fiona Sutton already asleep on the sofa.
"Hey, you’ll catch a cold sleeping like that."
Yancy Hastings gently pushed her.
Fiona Sutton slowly opened her eyes, which were red-rimd as she looked at him.
"Nia Mitchell is getting married," she suddenly said, tears streaming down her face.
Seeing her like this, Yancy Hastings was at a loss for words. "She’s getting married, so what? What are you doing this for?"
Is she that desperate to get married?
"She didn’t even tell ! I had to find out from soone else. We’ve been friends for seven years, and she hid this from !"
As Fiona Sutton thought about it, her anger flared, and SMACK! She slapped Yancy Hastings on the arm.
Yancy Hastings was speechless.
"She even pretended to help find a job, going so far as to involve Edbert Mitchell. Was she trying to show off how many connections she has?"
Fiona Sutton, slightly tipsy, was becoming more and more extre in her thinking.
In reality, Nia Mitchell had long been a thorn in her side. Charles Northwood liked Nia Mitchell, and yet Nia Mitchell, her friend, had hidden everything from her.
This felt like a betrayal.
"Why would you think that?"
Yancy Hastings was a little surprised. Does he not understand how won think?
"Maxwell Peary and I have been friends for at least ten years. He didn’t tell when he got married either. He only told about it later because he needed my help with sothing, and I didn’t react the way you are."
Yancy Hastings pulled her up from the sofa and gently pushed her towards the bathroom. "Hurry up, wash your face, change your clothes, and don’t catch a cold."
