Fiona Sutton froze, stopping her struggle. The thing she couldn’t accept the most right now was probably Charles Northwood’s words.
What friends? She never cared for them.
"We’re not."
Not only were they not, but if possible, she would rather they never had been.
"Yes, we are!"
Charles Northwood had no idea what Fiona Sutton was thinking. He really wanted to open up her mind and see what it was made of.
"Is this all you’re having for lunch?"
Fiona Sutton was always on a tight budget. Charles Northwood frowned at the noodles in her hand.
"I’ll eat whatever the hell I want! What’s it to you?"
Fiona Sutton raised her voice, angrily shaking off his hand.
Suddenly, Charles Northwood froze, remaining silent, his gaze locked onto her.
"What are you staring at?"
Fiona Sutton paused, suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
"Fiona, do you have a boyfriend?"
Charles Northwood had suddenly asked a very serious question, leaving Fiona Sutton bewildered.
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
Fiona Sutton shot him a glare, then turned and prepared to continue walking.
"What’s with the love bite on your neck?"
Charles Northwood’s eyes narrowed slightly, his expression terrifyingly grim, as if he could explode at any mont. Such an expression was terrifying. Even soone as fearless as Fiona Sutton involuntarily took a step back upon seeing it.
"I..."
Hearing "love bite," Fiona Sutton instinctively, and a bit unnaturally, adjusted her collar.
"What’s going on?"
Charles Northwood asked again. The love bites weren’t just on her neck; even the area near her collarbone was densely covered with them. This clearly ant... And she hadn’t even co back last night!
"What else could it be? It’s exactly what you’re thinking."
With that, Fiona Sutton turned and walked away. This ti, Charles Northwood didn’t stop her.
Watching her retreating figure, Charles Northwood frowned. What on earth was she thinking now? She had changed. Fiona Sutton had changed.
Upon returning to the dormitory, the noodles Fiona Sutton had bought had turned into a soggy ss, looking anything but appetizing.
She sighed lightly. Her entire body ached, especially down there...
She couldn’t work up an appetite, so she went straight to bed, pulling the covers over her head and falling fast asleep.

Nia Mitchell had a particularly good sleep. She slept for a full two hours, and by the ti she woke up, it was almost three in the afternoon.
"HISS—"
Nia Mitchell sat up abruptly. Her neck ached, and she imdiately reached out to rub it.
"Why didn’t you wake !"
Nia Mitchell glared at the CEO, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, busily working on his laptop.
Seeing her awake, Maxwell Peary paused his work.
"Awake?"
He’d never seen anyone sleep so soundly. Like a little piglet, she even snored.
"I’m running late again!"
Nia Mitchell felt utterly disheartened. Pouting, she sat there with her head hanging low. Late in the morning, and now late again in the afternoon. It felt as if she were just at MC Group to slack off and collect a paycheck. She had no idea what her colleagues in the Secretary Departnt would say about her.
"No one will say you’re late."
Maxwell Peary closed his laptop. The slight curve of his lips indicated he was in a good mood.
"Why?"
Could he really stop the wagging tongues?
"Because... you’re not working this afternoon."
"Skipping work?"
What did that an? She was still trying to process it.
"Yes."
Why ’skipping work’?
Because she wasn’t going to work this afternoon.
