She was already lucid when Nia Mitchell began to unbutton her collar. Not knowing how to face Nia Mitchell, she could only pretend to be asleep.
The alcohol was still affecting her; she rubbed her forehead and sat up with effort.
Just then, the phone suddenly rang.
"Hello?" Fiona Sutton answered, glancing at her phone. It was an unfamiliar number.
"It’s ."
A deep, slightly hoarse male voice ca from the other end. Fiona’s mind went blank for a mont. She couldn’t recall who it was.
"Who?"
Fiona hated it when people called and just said, "It’s ." Great, as if I’m supposed to recognize your voice just like that.
"Yancy Hastings."
Yancy Hastings, his face grim, had just returned from the mountains. He was so exhausted he didn’t want to move a muscle. He was currently sitting on the ground, his clothes caked with mud and his face covered in dust.
But he still called Fiona Sutton first.
"Oh. What do you want?" Fiona was startled. Her mind filled with thoughts of that night, and she beca sowhat uneasy.
He hadn’t contacted her in days. Why would he suddenly call now?
Poor Fiona Sutton had no idea what Yancy Hastings had been through these past few days.
"Where are you now?" Yancy Hastings forced himself to rally, taking off his shoes and standing up.
"I’m at the Royal Dynasty Hotel."
Yancy Hastings: ...!!!
A hotel? A hotel! Damn it, did that girl go get a room with another man? And her voice, heavy with the scent of wine, clearly ans she’s had a lot to drink.
"What are you doing at a hotel?!" Yancy Hastings suddenly erupted, roaring in anger despite his exhaustion.
Hearing Yancy Hastings’ raised voice, Fiona pulled the phone away from her ear, her face showing her disgust.
"What are you shouting for? We’re having a class reunion here. I drank too much, so I got a room to rest."
Fiona didn’t even know why, drunk as she was, she was still calmly explaining so much to Yancy Hastings. She should have just slamd the phone down the mont she realized it was him calling, shouldn’t she?
Receiving a satisfactory explanation, Yancy Hastings’s expression eased sowhat, and he let out a deep sigh.
"Which room?"

After hanging up, Fiona’s lip twitched. She’d have to be crazy to tell him which room she was in.
She casually tossed her phone aside and flopped back onto the bed, intending to go back to sleep.
「Ten minutes later.」
With a soft THUD, the room door was pushed open. Yancy Hastings, still in his filthy clothes, appeared in the doorway, surprisingly holding a room card.
"I’ll leave my clothes outside the door. Have soone co and take care of them," Yancy Hastings instructed the waiter behind him, then shut the door and headed into the bathroom.
After washing up, Yancy Hastings’s tanned face was revealed, marred by deep, dark circles under his eyes.
Wrapped in a bath towel, he tossed his dirty clothes outside the door. After closing it securely, he climbed onto the only large bed in the hotel room.
"Drunkard!"
The strong scent of wine assaulted his nostrils, making Yancy Hastings frown, but he still reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Fiona, sleeping soundly, felt a source of warmth approach and greedily reached out, hugging it tightly.
So warm...
Feeling the woman in his arms respond, a faint smile touched Yancy Hastings’s lips as he reached out to stroke her face.
He hadn’t rested well these past few days and was utterly exhausted. Closing his eyes slowly, he fell asleep within a minute.
