In the KTV room of the Royal Dynasty Hotel, Nia Mitchell stood awkwardly amidst everyone. Fiona Sutton wasn’t there, but at least Charles Northwood was.
"Professor Northwood, let’s sing together!" a female student said, forcibly pulling Charles Northwood away. He had already refused several tis and couldn’t decline again.
It’s just one song; nothing should happen.
So, he could only leave temporarily.
"Nia Mitchell, why aren’t you singing?" asked one of the female classmates.
Nia Mitchell imdiately shook her head and forced a smile.
"I can’t sing; I’m tone-deaf."
After declining, she pretended to be engrossed in her phone. Truthfully, she had no idea what to do with it.
So, she sent a text ssage to the CEO:
"At karaoke... so bored..."
Maxwell Peary had just finished his public social engagents and hadn’t even had ti to eat before heading to the Black Market to et the current arms supplier.
"You know we’ve always had regular suppliers," Lewis said to the individuals seated across from him.
Just then, the CEO’s phone suddenly DINGED. Everyone looked towards Maxwell Peary, who had been sitting there without saying a word.
Maxwell Peary’s brow furrowed slightly; he hadn’t expected his phone to receive a text ssage.
He picked it up and saw it was from Rabina Mitchell; his expression imdiately softened considerably.
After reading the ssage, this particular CEO actually started to reply.
"What? Want to co keep you company?"
A faint smile touched Maxwell Peary’s lips, his mind filled with the image of Rabina Mitchell.
If... he could be with her, that would actually be quite nice.
Nia Mitchell read the ssage and raised an eyebrow. He’s incredibly busy today; how could he possibly have ti to co over and keep company?
"You should focus on your work. I’ll stay with my classmates for now."
After quickly sending the ssage, Nia Mitchell looked up. Sure enough, many of her classmates were staring at her.
Huh...?
Why are they all staring at ?
Did I miss sothing while I was texting?
"Nia Mitchell, everyone’s saying they want to et your husband," Julia Adams said, breaking the silence. Her face was wreathed in smiles, as if she were full of goodwill.
However, that was rely how it seed.
"He’s quite busy today; he can’t get away from work."
To be precise, today is his busiest day. He’s usually at the Company, but today it seems his work isn’t even at the Company.
She wasn’t clear on these matters herself; anyway, as long as she didn’t add to his troubles, it would be fine.
"Oh? What kind of work is so demanding? He doesn’t even get a day off?"
Everyone beca even more curious about what Nia Mitchell’s husband did.
"You’re not just making excuses, are you? Is it because your husband is too hideous to be seen, old and ugly, so you’re too embarrassed to bring him out?"
Julia Adams’s imagination ran wild as she speculated endlessly.
Otherwise, how could Nia Mitchell be so willing to spend all that money?
Even if everyone pressured her into paying for that al, booking the room wasn’t the sa, was it?
She paid for it directly herself, without saying a word, and she still hadn’t ntioned anything about the money.
They had seen that room before; it was absolutely luxurious, definitely not so simple, ordinary room. The price must have been substantial too.
So, it was clear Nia Mitchell still had so money.
Thinking of this, Julia Adams couldn’t help but make all sorts of conjectures about her husband.
