Nia Mitchell’s lip twitched. She could manage to tell a lie if she had to. But putting on such a convincing show of grievance like Julia Adams? That, she really couldn’t do. Lines of exasperation seed to form on Nia Mitchell’s forehead. She shook her head; she truly hadn’t expected Julia Adams to be so utterly shaless.

Yancy Hastings, who had been watching for a long ti, was starting to feel a bit bored. Couldn’t these girls find sothing better to talk about? Why did they have to start fighting right here? The main point was, this sharp-tongued Nia Mitchell was Maxwell Peary’s woman. TSK TSK. Maxwell Peary’s taste was getting worse and worse. To think he’d been so selective, only to end up picking soone like *her* for a wife.
When they heard Yancy Hastings’s voice, everyone turned their heads to look at him.
This soldierly-looking guy hadn’t said a word since he ca in, just sitting there like he was invisible. Why did he suddenly speak up now? And when he finally did, why did his words have to be so harsh? Still, it was good to have one more person. When it ca ti to pay the bill, he’d be included, and they could split the cost a bit more.

"Since none of you seem prepared to actually eat, Fiona Sutton and I will take our leave." Saying this, Yancy Hastings reached out and pulled Fiona Sutton, intending to leave.
Fiona Sutton was stunned. What did this outrageous man an? Nia Mitchell was still in such a terrible predicant; how could she just up and leave?
