"Behave yourself!"
Yancy Hastings frowned, displeased. His voice, tinged with anger, effectively silenced Fiona Sutton.
"Let’s go!"
Without giving Fiona any chance to refuse, he reached out to grab her, ready to leave.
Unexpectedly, at that mont, Charles Northwood stood up and blocked their path.
"Sir, I don’t care who you are, please respect her."
Charles Northwood’s words were sowhat roundabout, but the ssage was simple and clear. That is, if Fiona doesn’t want to go, then you should let her go. However, how could Charles Northwood possibly put it so bluntly, and so impolitely? Moreover, he wasn’t actually sure whether Fiona truly didn’t want to go or was just playing coy.
Seeing Charles Northwood step in, Fiona’s face lightened up. She knew he wouldn’t ignore her.
"What are you to her?"
Why would Yancy Hastings listen to Charles Northwood? Who did he think he was, daring to involve himself in Yancy’s matters?
"Let tell you, no matter what your purpose is, this woman is mine," Yancy Hastings declared possessively. Without considering Charles Northwood’s reaction, he then simply picked Fiona up, slung her over his shoulder, and left the room.
Damn!
He really just up and left.
Not to ntion the surprised reactions of Nia Mitchell, Charles Northwood, and their classmates, even Fiona herself was astonished.
Only after they had left the room did she co back to her senses. She imdiately started furiously pounding on Yancy Hastings’s back.
"Put down! Put down now!"
All her blood rushed to her head. Her face turned bright red as she continuously struggled.
Only when he had hoisted her up did she realize how tall Yancy Hastings truly was. Oh God, if she fell head-first from this height, her head would surely split open.
Yancy Hastings knew she was uncomfortable being carried and, after so thought, put her down.
"Let’s go!"
Without allowing any refusal, he took her hand and led her away.
Inside the Private Booth, tranquility was once again restored. Nia Mitchell began to eat, unbothered by the gaze of others.
She didn’t have to worry about the cost. After all, she knew these classmates couldn’t afford it. But she wouldn’t share this secret with them. She rather relished the thought of them staring at this lavish dinner, unable to eat, only to later find out it was free.Ha, she was quite mischievous. She was getting excited just imagining their expressions.
Charles Northwood, however, had lost his appetite. Seeing Fiona being carried away like that had left him worried. But fortunately, Yancy had an honest face, so it was unlikely he had any ulterior motives.
Thus, the strange scene in Private Room Number One concluded. Everyone else had stopped eating, leaving only Nia Mitchell to happily enjoy her food.
It seed everyone thought that by not eating, they would not need to pay.
This thought, albeit amusing, stopped anyone from daring to start eating.
No wonder! Even a simple dish cost four figures. Who would dare to eat?
Julia Adams abstained from eating because she wanted to see how Nia Mitchell would manage alone later. Just thinking about her being forced to pay made her happy beyond belief.
"Why isn’t anyone eating? The food will get cold."
Only after eating a considerable amount did Nia Mitchell raise her head and glance at her fellow classmates.
"Um... we’re not hungry."
That was their excuse.
Nia Mitchell would have been a fool to believe them.
"Everyone isn’t hungry? Isn’t that a coincidence? You aren’t possibly thinking that you won’t have to pay if you don’t eat, right?"
