Nia Mitchell bit her lip and then nodded.
"Fine, so you’re saying you don’t like him, right? Then I’ll give Charles Northwood a call."
Saying that, Nia took out her phone, found Charles Northwood’s number, and prepared to dial.
Seeing her serious expression, Fiona Sutton quickly reached out to stop her.
"Can you not do this? Can’t you at least leave so dignity?"
She hadn’t wanted to fall for Charles Northwood either!
"Fine. I admit it. I do have feelings for Charles Northwood. So what?"
Fiona put down her utensils, her face a mask of misery.
She had been trying so hard to suppress her feelings.
She didn’t know what to do, how to face Charles Northwood, or how to face their friendship.
"I don’t want to lose a good friend, but I feel like I have no way out, Nia. You will never understand this pain."
Fiona, who was usually so carefree, was acting like this now.
Nia couldn’t bear to see Fiona like this and began to regret pushing her so hard for answers.

"If Charles Northwood had just told he didn’t like , or that I wasn’t his type, I could have accepted that," Fiona said, covering her face as she tried to hold back tears. "But damn it, he said I don’t actually like him, that my feelings are just a misconception! What the hell kind of reason is that?!"
It was the first ti in her life she’d ever heard such a reason for rejection.
How ridiculous.
She couldn’t accept it.
But she had no choice; that was the answer Charles had given her.
"Huh?" Nia frowned, not quite understanding what he ant.
"So, he ant that you don’t actually like him, but feel sothing else? Friendship?"
Between a man and a woman, it’s usually either love or friendship, right?
If it were so other negative emotion, they wouldn’t have been able to stay friends for seven years, would they?
Fiona shook her head; she didn’t know either.
She struggled to suppress her emotions, then lowered her hands from her face and looked Nia straight in the eye.
"I don’t know."
She had been so confused.
So things, no matter who you are, you only have the courage to attempt once.
She... wouldn’t pester Charles. That would be too petty.
"Charles Northwood has a girlfriend now. Even if I’m not resigned to it, I can’t go and destroy soone else’s relationship."
Fiona smiled, as though she had let go of everything.
"Nia, sotis I also wonder if it’s really like Charles said, that I don’t actually like him."
But... the more she thought about it, the more it seed... she really did like him.

She could hardly imagine Fiona having feelings for Charles Northwood.
"When did you...start liking him?"
Nia hesitated to ask, her heart aching as if sothing was constricting it.
Fiona was her best female friend, and knowing all this, Nia’s heart truly ached for her.
"I don’t rember. Maybe in high school..."
Nia’s heart felt as if it had been pricked by a needle.
Doesn’t that an it’s been at least four years then?
