Nia Mitchell clenched her fists, her gaze sweeping over Victoria Perez and Robert Perez.
"Do you think all problems can be solved by money?"
Nia Mitchell sneered. Truly pathetic.
Right now, Evelyn Peary was in a private booth discussing business with a client when the store manager walked in.
"What? Soone dared to make a scene at Madgar Pavilion?"
Evelyn stood up in shock. The only ti soone had dared to cause trouble at Madgar Pavilion was when they first opened and were envied by their competitors. The incident had beco seriously heated, but since then, there had been no issues.
What a wonderful day today is! Could it add another rich stroke to her ordinary life?
"Yes, it seems soone has stolen Miss Perez’s diamond ring."
Evelyn frowned. A theft?
"Moreover, the person who stole it seems... seems to be connected with Young Master Peary in so way."
The store manager still rembered that the woman from last night had been taken away by Young Master Peary. It would probably be better to inform her about this to avoid any trouble later.
The news left Evelyn startled. Connected with Maxwell Peary? Nia Mitchell!?
Evelyn rushed into the lobby, seeing a group of people huddling in a circle. She could vaguely hear Nia Mitchell arguing from within the crowd.
"All of you, scatter!"
With Evelyn’s loud shout, everyone looked over. Once they identified who was coming, they quickly returned to their own places and continued with their al, but their attention never strayed from the scene.
"So you are the owner of this Madgar Pavilion?" Victoria Perez cut in front of Nia Mitchell and ca directly before Evelyn.
"There is a thief in your restaurant! What kind of owner are you? Isn’t Madgar Pavilion supposed to be a high-end place? How could you let such a destitute-looking person in?"
Evelyn frowned. Thank goodness her brother wasn’t here. If he knew that soone was speaking about his sister-in-law this way, he’d probably blow up her entire Madgar Pavilion.
Everyone was watching. The owner had even appeared. It seed the thief was in deep trouble.
Just when everyone was breaking out in a cold sweat for the thief, Evelyn suddenly walked past Victoria Perez to stand before Nia Mitchell.
"Sister-in-law, are you alright?"
Evelyn looked Nia up and down but couldn’t see anything wrong.
Nia Mitchell stood there, indignant, pointing at her cell phone on the ground.
"She purposely stepped on my phone and then tried to insult by throwing money at !"
Evelyn glanced at the footprints on the phone on the ground and the scattered red banknotes.
What a ss. It must have been quite a scene earlier.
"Miss Perez, is it? You actually accused my sister-in-law of stealing your diamond ring? Have you gone mad? Or do you think my sister-in-law is so bored she’d do this for fun?"
Without asking any questions, Evelyn directly confronted Victoria Perez.
Victoria Perez and Robert Perez were stunned, and so were all the guests present.
This unassuming, shabby-looking girl was Evelyn Peary’s sister-in-law?
And Evelyn Peary only had one brother... Maxwell Peary!
You’ve got to be kidding! Maxwell Peary is a renowned golden bachelor; he’s not even married yet.
"Her sister-in-law?" Victoria Perez was a little slow to react. "She’s Young Master Peary’s... wife?"
Maxwell Peary’s na might not be known to ordinary people, but among the upper class, everyone knew it.
There was one person in the room even more astonished and less able to accept this fact than Victoria Perez: her father, Robert Perez.
Evelyn had no idea what Maxwell was thinking, as he hadn’t announced his marriage to the world.
"It’s none of your business who she is. But I, Evelyn Peary, will definitely get to the bottom of this!"
