Maxwell Peary sneered. His goal had never been to ruin Belinda Swan’s reputation.
She and he were practically strangers; her conduct was none of his concern.
All he knew was that, true or not, the fact this incident had involved Belinda Swan couldn’t be erased.
In the future, anyone who ntioned Belinda Swan would recall this incident, even if it had since been clarified and resolved.
Belinda Swan’s reputation was ruined; therefore, she was unworthy of him.
Mr. Swan clenched his fists, shocked that Maxwell Peary would resort to such vicious tactics just to break off the engagent.
"Young Master Peary is indeed just as the rumors say."
Mr. Swan’s face was filled with animosity; he looked as if he wanted to tear him limb from limb.
"I’ll take that as a complint."
After speaking, Maxwell Peary glanced at Owen Lewis, who was standing beside him.
Owen Lewis understood and reached out to take the disk.
"Leave the disk behind."
Mr. Swan saw Maxwell Peary leave without a second thought. By the ti he reacted, he could only try to stop Owen Lewis.
