Who would have thought Maxwell Peary was this kind of person, and that his subordinates shared the sa traits?

Veins throbbed on Mr. Swan’s forehead from anger. For the first ti, he felt deeply disappointed in his own daughter.
He knew better than anyone that Maxwell Peary would not fabricate anything.

Owen Lewis managed a smile before sauntering off.
Instantly, the grand engagent banquet was left with only the bride-to-be.
"Today’s banquet must continue."
Mr. Swan clenched his fists. It couldn’t simply end like this!
"Continue what?"
Her face stained with tears, Belinda Swan turned and fled to her room.
It had all happened. She would never be able to hold her head high again.
"Nia Mitchell!"
She hated Nia Mitchell! Hated her! If it weren’t for Nia Mitchell, she would have been engaged to Maxwell Peary by now.
Everything was supposed to play out according to plan. Nothing should have deviated.
But Nia Mitchell had appeared—that damned woman!
At that mont, Maxwell Peary’s expression was grim as he sat inside the Maybach.
After a mont of silence, he drove away.
What a waste of ti. If it weren’t for the Swan family holding a banquet in his na, he wouldn’t have bothered showing up.
An engagent banquet? Hmph!
The Swan family’s audacity was truly growing. They hadn’t even inford him.
Even the patriarch of the Peary Clan hadn’t attended, yet the Swan family had the gall to put on this one-man show.
Speeding down the road, Maxwell Peary pressed harder on the accelerator. The re thought of his little wife at ho made him intensely eager to return.
"Boss, you’re just going to leave like that?"
Owen Lewis stood in the middle of the main road, a look of agony on his face, phone in hand.
"Yes."
Maxwell Peary answered dismissively and continued driving.
Owen Lewis had ridden with Maxwell Peary on the way there, but now he didn’t have a ride back! He had planned to hitch a ride with him.
But Maxwell had just driven off!
"Boss, this is so unfair!" Owen Lewis wailed, looking like he wanted to cry but couldn’t shed a tear.
"If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up."
With that, Maxwell Peary hung up the phone but also stopped the car.
He turned to look out the car window. Sothing seed to have caught his attention, and he stared for a long ti.
After a long pause, he still didn’t drive away.
Slowly rolling down the window, Maxwell Peary sighed. He hesitated for another long mont before finally getting out of the car.
Not far off, about a dozen people stood in a long line, waiting anxiously.
Maxwell Peary touched his nose and joined the queue at the very end.
Ahead of him was a group of small children. The tall, slender CEO looked particularly conspicuous standing there.
"Wow, Mister, do you like eating cotton candy too?"
The CEO’s presence seed to liven up the children, and one of them piped up directly.
Lines of exasperation appeared on Maxwell Peary’s face as he glanced towards the cotton candy machine at the front.
"So adults like eating cotton candy too."
The children chattered endlessly, and Maxwell Peary’s expression darkened further.
The lengthy queue and the wait were sheer torture for Maxwell Peary. Finally, he reached the front.
"The pink one."
Maxwell Peary rembered very clearly: Rabina Mitchell, his little bunny, had specifically requested this that morning.
It was her ti of the month, and she couldn’t have anything cold. This was the only way he could make it up to her.
"Alright." The cotton candy vendor glanced at Maxwell Peary, clearly a little surprised.
Actually, many adults bought cotton candy, so it wasn’t unusual.
However, Maxwell Peary’s attire and aura made him stick out like a sore thumb in this setting.
