Heh, Nia Mitchell really did understand Molly Harguez. Molly Harguez indeed had such a plan. She was overjoyed. That Nia Mitchell had finally done sothing good for a change! Haha, I’m definitely going to enjoy a good life from now on! In the future, maybe I can get things for free wherever I go, just by ntioning Young Master Peary’s na. Wouldn’t I be set for life then? Just the thought of it made the future seem wonderful.
When Molly Harguez heard Nia’s words, her expression imdiately soured. "What about ?" Did I say sothing wrong? Who doesn’t want their future life to be a bit better?
"Why don’t you just live in the hospital then?" Nia retorted, annoyed. She even wants to freeload off the hospital.
"Alright, don’t get angry." Seeing Nia like this, Maxwell Peary’s heart ached for her, and he reached out to stroke her cheek. "If you want to leave quickly, we can leave now." He rembered Nia had said many tis that she wanted to leave.
Nia nodded, but she hadn’t expected her father to be the one standing in her way this ti.
"Your brother hasn’t woken up yet. Stay here and talk with him for a bit," her father said, his voice sincere.
Nia paused, taken aback. What was there for her and Aldy Mitchell to talk about?
"Your brother has been constantly asking about you, wondering why you haven’t co back. I haven’t told him anything about your situation."
Nia hadn’t expected Aldy Mitchell to still ntion her at ho.
"Alright, I understand." Nia nodded. After speaking, she looked at the CEO, her expression apologetic. "Uncle, why don’t you go back first? There are lots of things waiting for you at MC." She had seen firsthand just how busy the CEO was. How could Maxwell Peary afford to waste so much ti here?
"It’s alright. I’ll have Lewis bring the work over later." He wanted to console her but didn’t know what to say. Nia was clearly much more subdued today, her face showing little expression. Coupled with the fact she had cried earlier, her red eyes and nose made her look particularly vulnerable, tugging at one’s heartstrings.
"When will the patient wake up?" Maxwell Peary suddenly turned to the hospital director and posed the question.
The director, startled, could only respond ekly, "He should be able to wake up tomorrow morning." Fortunately, he had specifically checked on this patient’s condition earlier.
"You go rest at the hotel with first, and we’ll co back tomorrow morning," Maxwell Peary said to Nia, suggesting this tentatively.
"Alright. Besides, it’s not convenient for so many people to stay in the hospital anyway." Nia nodded. Although she was a daughter of the Mitchell family, she was, after all, married now. To put it bluntly, with her brother’s accident this ti, it was really enough for her to visit and contribute so money for his expenses.
Seeing his daughter’s pale complexion, Father Mitchell felt a pang of pity. "You should get so rest. It’s okay if you co a bit later tomorrow." He always rembered how much his daughter loved to sleep in.
Nia nodded.
Molly Harguez stood to one side, sowhat intimidated by Maxwell Peary, but her fundantal nature couldn’t be changed. "Don’t be too late, alright? Your father and I will stay here tonight. You bring so breakfast over tomorrow morning."
Nia didn’t bother arguing with her, deciding to endure it for her father’s sake. "Dad, I’ll leave with him first then."
Her father hesitated for a mont, then nodded. He clearly rembered his daughter calling this man ’Uncle’ just monts ago. But their relationship... this... This man, at first glance, did seem quite mature, probably a fair bit older than his daughter. But looking closer, he didn’t seem that much older after all.
