Silvia Waterborne had just finished comforting Evelyn Peary. They had been rushing about constantly and hadn’t even had a proper al, so Silvia ordered a few dishes.
Evelyn Peary probably hadn’t eaten much these past few days either, so Silvia insisted she eat sothing with her.
As they sat at the dining table, Silvia Waterborne’s phone rang.
"’You must have known I just landed, huh?’ Silvia Waterborne said, then rolled her eyes. They wouldn’t even let catch a break."
"’Of course,’ Maxwell Peary responded, not wasting any more words with her."
"’My in-laws are all in Capital Town. Let’s all go to Madgar Pavilion for dinner tonight.’"
Silvia Waterborne was taken aback. She hadn’t expected this.
"’I... I don’t think it’s suitable for .’"
She was a major Star; nearly everyone recognized her.
Publicly, she proclaid she would never marry. If she showed up at the dinner table, wouldn’t that blow her cover?
"’You should go talk to the old family estate. I... I won’t go...’"
She was very clear about her own standing. Although she was a dazzling Star, her actual position was rather disreputable.
"’This...’ Maxwell Peary hesitated. He hadn’t considered this point before. Instinctively, he felt that Silvia Waterborne should be present for a family al. He had forgotten that her status was far too special."
"’Alright then.’ Not saying much more, he hung up directly."
"’So, is Mom free?’ Nia Mitchell asked right away."
Looking at her sparkling big eyes, Maxwell Peary felt a stir in his heart.
"’She can’t make it. I’ll ask people from the old family estate to co.’"
Nia Mitchell blinked and nodded.
When Samuel Peary received the call, he frowned. "’I’m not going!’ Why should I et people of such lowly status? I haven’t even acknowledged that Nia Mitchell yet, and now we’re supposed to have dinner together? Absolutely not."
"’You have to go.’ Maxwell Peary wouldn’t allow him to refuse. This matter had to be handled flawlessly."
"Samuel Peary was instantly annoyed. What did Maxwell an by ’you have to go’? I’m incredibly busy right now. These past couple of days, I’ve needed to make more rounds with the Huangfu family, especially after such a major incident. Besides, nurous business deals are awaiting my decision. Where would I find the ti to have dinner with those people?"
"’I’m not calling to consult with you; I’m informing you,’ Maxwell Peary said, frowning, then hung up imdiately."
"’Uncle?’ Nia Mitchell sensed Maxwell Peary’s irritation and looked at him with a bit of concern."
"’It’s okay, he’ll co.’ And even if he doesn’t, so what? He and Nia Mitchell were already married."
But he was unaware that, at that very mont, a huge scandal was breaking out all over the city.
"’Alright, I trust you, Uncle.’ Nia Mitchell imdiately smiled, saying nothing more."
Since Maxwell Peary had said it so definitively, she didn’t need to add anything else.
「Hospital—」
The atmosphere in the ward was particularly oppressive.
Mr. Mitchell squeezed a newspaper in his hand, his entire face filled with anger.
Even Molly Harguez, standing to one side, had a very gloomy expression.
Not to ntion Aldy Mitchell, who was lying there.
The newspaper headline was earth-shattering news.
Maxwell Peary, the intimidating Young Master Peary of Capital Town, was married.
A huge picture was printed on it: two marriage certificates and a large photo of the couple.
Belinda Swan’s face was wreathed in smiles as she stood next to Maxwell Peary; the dia depicted the two of them as a match made in heaven.
