"Long Tianji, you're the one who doesn't understand. They were clear with from the very beginning. I know I will be possessed, and I agreed to it willingly!"
"You?!" Lin Tang was astounded. He could have understood if she had been deceived. But to willingly walk into death, knowing everything? Who could make sense of that?
Tears welled in Ning Yuexi's eyes as she avoided Lin Tang's utterly bewildered expression. She spoke softly, "I heard you were once hunted by a War God, completely powerless to fight back. There is more than one such War God in the Underworld. When the Underworld invades the human realm, it will cause untold devastation. You can't stop them alone. So, to save everyone, sacrificing my insignificant self is no big deal."

Just then, the sky changed. Dark clouds roiled as fierce winds howled. The entire mountain began to tremble, sending a cascade of rock and debris tumbling down. The snow on the peak shivered, turning into a vast cloud of mist. The mirror-calm Heavenly Lake began to boil violently, like water heated to a hundred degrees.
A heaven-shattering pressure descended, focused solely on Lin Tang. His spine groaned under the weight, his bones cracking audibly. He grunted, involuntarily crushing the stone beneath his feet to dust. Gritting his teeth, he refused to let his back bend, let alone allow his knees to buckle.
He threw his head back and roared, and then he laughed—a wild, defiant laugh.
"Co on! Let fuck your mother again!"
In the sky, the enormous face of the Mystic Maiden appeared. At his words, her expression filled with deep indignation. Unlike her previous, illusory appearances, she was shockingly real this ti, and incredibly powerful. Lin Tang, in his current state, was no match for her. Here, she was simply invincible.
