Lin Tang thought for a mont and released the sealed avatar of the Lord of Gluttony. Ever since he was besieged by two War God-level Holy Masters and then ambushed by the Skull King, who had nearly seized his body, he had been acutely aware of the Lord of Gluttony's restlessness. For this reason, during crucial monts like transferring Innate Nascent Qi to Lee Encai, he would seal the avatar to prevent it from causing any mischief.
"Phew, that was suffocating! What just happened here... Huh? There's a newborn half-demon, and it's a little bug." The Lord of Gluttony looked at Lee Encai with a mix of surprise and interest.
"Who are you calling a little bug? Don't you know how to talk?" Lee Encai retorted, displeased, and gave it a swift kick.
"AARGH—"
The Lord of Gluttony flew backward like a kicked ball, then roared furiously, "How dare you! You dare to desecrate the great Lord of..."
"Hmm?" Lin Tang shot it a dangerous look. "Watch it. That's my wife!"
"Eh, another wife?" The Lord of Gluttony was taken aback. Its deanor changed in an instant. "You should have said so earlier! It's a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding!"
Humans are so boring, still dividing themselves by gender with all this husband and wife nonsense… it muttered to itself.
"You just called my wife a half-demon?"
"Yeah. They're the offspring of ancient demon spirits who, for so crazy reason, mated with humans. The result was... cough, cough, mixed-bloods, passed down through generations."
The "Immortal" in Gu Immortal was just like the "Immortal" found in terms like Ghost Immortal, Earth Immortal, or Celestial Immortal. It was rely a title they gave themselves to sound more impressive, an embellishnt to save face, and not an indication that they were nearly as powerful as a true Immortal. At its core, a Gu Immortal was simply a hybrid of a demon spirit and a human.
In fact, if one traced their ancestry far enough, a significant portion of humanity carried so demonic lineage in their blood. However, this portion was usually extrely rare, almost negligible. Cases like Lee Encai, who had managed to experience an atavistic awakening of her bloodline, were incredibly rare—an occurrence that might happen only once in hundreds or even a thousand years.
After hearing the Lord of Gluttony's general explanation, Lee Encai couldn't help but feel a little flattered, and quite proud of herself.
"Save... save... ..." a frail, weak voice whispered.
It was Gu Zicheng. The man was surprisingly tough; he wasn't dead yet.
Lin Tang had no desire to help this blind fool who had led the wolf to their door, but the kind-hearted Lee Encai ended up saving his life. She didn't use Lin Tang's Spring Breeze and Rain Technique to do it, either. Instead, she dripped a bit of her own blood onto Gu Zicheng's chest.
Gu Zicheng's talent for Gu sorcery stemd from the fact that his demon spirit bloodline was a tiny bit more concentrated than that of others. After receiving the Gu Immortal blood from Lee Encai, he too underwent a minor mutation.
"But why have I beco so ugly?" Gu Zicheng cried, standing up and looking at his body with dawning horror. A layer of dense scales now covered his skin, and a fine powder fell from them when he moved. The most disgusting part was his stomach, which had sprouted folds and feelers, making him resemble a caterpillar.
"You were already ugly to begin with, so what difference does a little more make? Get over it," Lin Tang said.
Gu Zicheng was left speechless.
The great battle had caused the cave where the giant cocoon was placed to collapse. Lin Tang and Lee Encai flew away hand in hand to find another landing spot. Lin Tang had wanted to return to the city, but Lee Encai, despite saying she didn't care, was reluctant to be seen by the public in her strange attire. She found that she now preferred the great outdoors, where there were no people, only insects. She no longer detested or feared insects at all. In fact, she now found them quite adorable.
Faced with this change, Lin Tang didn't even know what to make of it. He finally managed to squeeze out a comnt. "Do you think my 'you-know-what' is cute too?"
Lee Encai was utterly confused.
After several hours of exploring her new form, she suddenly had an epiphany, inexplicably understanding how to completely revert to her human body. For demon spirits, power is innate. All their skills rely on self-enlightennt, with no need for Cultivation Techniques or practice.
WHOOSH!
She transford. Her antennae disappeared from her forehead first. Then ca the fras around her eyes, followed by her armor and wings, and finally, the color of her hair.
"Hey, why haven't you shrunk back to your original height? And more importantly, why is your chest still so... magnificent?" Lin Tang's eyes lit up, and he refused to look away as he teased her with a smile.
Gu Zicheng had been driven off long ago, and the Lord of Gluttony was sealed once more. Thus, Lin Tang had Lee Encai's stunning, naked human form all to himself.
"Are you trying to kill ?! Get so clothes!" Lee Encai first tried to cover herself shyly. When she realized it was futile, she thought about her relationship with Lin Tang. Why be coy?
She straightened up, jutted out her chest, and said proudly, "Didn't you used to complain that I wasn't big enough? Well, isn't this exactly to your liking?"
"Hehe…" Lin Tang's smile turned wicked. He pulled her into an embrace, unable to take his hands off her. "Co on, let check if these are natural or artificial."
"Artificial, my ass! Go screw yourself!" Lee Encai flew into a rage.
The two laughed and wrestled playfully for a while. The current Lee Encai was not to be trifled with; she hadn't fully adapted to her new strength, and a casual move could unleash imnse destructive power. Anyone else play-fighting with her might have been accidentally crushed to death. Luckily, Lin Tang, as a Nascent Soul expert, was exceptionally resilient. He could easily withstand the barrage of tiny fists she hamred against his chest.
As they continued to play, the lighthearted atmosphere thickened with an undeniable intimacy. They tumbled together, their bodies growing ever closer. Their thoughts drifted back to their past, recalling the countless dangers they had faced and overco, ti and ti again...
