"WAAAAH... UGH..." Shang Yuenong's mouth was full of blood as she scread incoherently.
She was held in Lin Tang's iron grip. No matter how much she struggled, it was useless. She wanted to bite Wu Xinyu's small hands, but she couldn't reach them at all. All she could do was watch helplessly as Wu Xinyu, like a little demon, gripped the pliers with both hands and savagely went to work on her teeth.
Due to the effort, Wu Xinyu's cheeks turned bright red, and sweat beaded on her forehead.
When it ca to tooth extraction without anesthesia, the most painful part was the process itself. If Wu Xinyu had simply pulled the tooth out quickly and cleanly, that would have been one thing. But as a child, she lacked the strength and couldn't dislodge it. Wasn't that just subjecting soone to constant, excruciating pain?
This is too torturous! You can't do this!
Yao Qian shook his head vigorously, regaining just enough strength to stand. Seeing the spectacle, his eyes burned with rage. "My wife already has half her teeth missing, and you're still pulling them?" he roared. "What kind of grudge is this? Why must you be so extre? Can't you at least leave her a few?"
Lee Encai, who was cheering Wu Xinyu on, heard him and said with disdain, "Didn't we tell you yesterday? She pulled out this little girl's teeth first. She's just getting what she deserves!"
"Impossible! Yuenong would never harm a child without reason. What proof do you have that she did it?" Yao Qian refused to believe it.
"Why the hell are you wasting your breath on them? Fight them already!" Zhong Liping, having recovered, lunged at them again, trying to claw and tear at them.
But Lin Tang kicked her to the ground, leaving her completely powerless. With no other choice, she could only scramble away, tumbling and crawling out of the room to scream for help. Her banshee-like wails echoed through the corridor.
"Youling, what's going on over there?" Dong Mingfeng asked, startled by the noise on the other end of the line.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'll be over to visit Grandpa soon. I have to go now, bye." Shen Youling hung up and stepped into the hospital room.
She saw the duo, one big and one small, brutally tornting Shang Yuenong while Yao Qian tried in vain to stop them. When he saw Shen Youling, Yao Qian clenched his teeth and snarled, "Lin Tang, if you're going to torture my wife like this, then I won't go easy on your wife either!"
With that, he charged at Shen Youling, teeth bared and claws outstretched.
Shen Youling was speechless.
"Stubborn fool!" Lin Tang's expression turned cold. With a flick of his finger, an invisible stream of air condensed into an arrow and struck the back of Yao Qian's knee, forcing him to kneel before Shen Youling.
"Kick him, quick!" Lee Encai urged.
"Huh?" Shen Youling was stunned. Her? Hit soone?
This humble servant is unable to comply!
"Ugh, you're impossible..." Frustrated by her inaction, Lee Encai furiously kicked Yao Qian in the rear, sending him rolling across the floor in humiliation. The more Lee Encai kicked, the more excited she beca, constantly trying to egg Shen Youling on. Shen Youling was caught between amusent and bewildernt.
When Hua Fengchen, Dong Mingfeng, and their group arrived out of curiosity, the first thing they saw was Shen Youling and Lee Encai seemingly ganging up on Yao Qian.
For a mont, Hua Fengchen's image of her was shattered. How had the gentle and kind Shen Youling he knew beco like this after getting married? It was utterly uncivilized!
Dong Mingfeng and Shen Xin also exchanged confused glances, montarily unable to recognize their own daughter.
"Stop it, all of you!" Hua Fengchen imdiately placed all the bla on Lin Tang. Staring at him with utter disgust, he said, "Lin Tang, you have so nerve, taking the law into your own hands to torture my classmate right in front of !"
Flanked by his bodyguards, he was brimming with confidence against the crippled Lin Tang. Just as he was about to wave his hand and order his n to subdue the fiend, Shen Youling spoke up.
"Hua Fengchen, don't misunderstand. Shang Yuenong was the one at fault."
After she explained the situation, Yao Qian and the recently returned Zhong Liping firmly denied it again.
"If you have proof, show it!" Yao Qian challenged.
"Who knows how that little wretch lost her teeth? What right do you have to sling mud at my daughter?" Zhong Liping shrieked.
Hua Fengchen frowned deeply, still in disbelief. "Shen Youling, that's just Lin Tang's side of the story, isn't it? You actually believe his nonsense?"
"Well..." Shen Youling had to admit she hadn't seen any evidence herself, and she didn't know how to argue. She looked toward Lin Tang, hoping he had proof to silence their accusers.
Lin Tang, seeing that Wu Xinyu had finally succeeded in prying one of Shang Yuenong's teeth loose, gave her a nod of encouragent to continue. Then, he stated nonchalantly, "When I, Lin Tang, act, I have my own scale of justice. I don't need any evidence."
"How arrogant!" Yuan Zongqing, the vice chief of the Tianji Martial Arts School, had been observing Lin Tang secretly ever since he entered. He hadn't detected any sign of martial arts on him, which had put his mind at ease. Hearing Lin Tang's words, he could no longer hold back and spoke out for what he believed was justice. "Without evidence, you're just harming an innocent person! Young man, you're far too arrogant!"
Dong Mingfeng already loathed Lin Tang. Seeing him act so high and mighty even after being crippled only fueled her anger. She grabbed Hua Fengchen's arm. "Mr. Hua, you must seek justice for this poor girl, Yuenong! As for Youling, she was just montarily confused and deceived by that trash Lin Tang's malicious words... Shen Youling! What are you still doing over there? Get over here, now! All the money I spent on your education was so you could learn to distinguish right from wrong, not to be so foolish!"
She was terrified that this incident would tarnish Hua Fengchen's impression of her daughter. If he refused to take her in after the divorce, wouldn't the Qingcang Pharmaceutical shares that were almost in her grasp slip away?
Shen Xin agreed with Dong Mingfeng and ran over to pull Shen Youling away, trying to put so distance between her and Lin Tang.
The commotion had naturally attracted a crowd of onlookers, packing the doorway. They all began to point fingers at Lin Tang, criticizing him. They felt the young man was being completely unreasonable. Attacking soone without proof—what gave him the audacity to fra an innocent person?
Hospital staff also rushed to the scene. As doctors, they detested such disturbances. Shang Yuenong was a doctor herself, yet she was being treated so indiscriminately. They were, of course, filled with righteous indignation and sternly ordered him to stop.
In the blink of an eye, Lin Tang had beco the target of public outrage, vilified and condemned by all. Seeing that the crowd was about to drown him in a sea of condemnation, Shen Youling hurried over and tugged his sleeve. "You should just show them the evidence. Do you really have to escalate the conflict on purpose?"
She was getting a headache. If he just showed the proof, he would hold the moral high ground. By hiding it, wasn't he just asking for trouble?
Lin Tang leaned in and whispered in her ear, "I did have evidence, stored on my phone. But my old phone broke completely, rember? When I got a new one, the video file was lost with it."
"What?" Shen Youling was stunned.
Although Shang Yuenong was in excruciating pain, she wasn't deaf. Hearing this, her eyes flew open, and she began to struggle frantically again, screeching, "I've been frad! I'm innocent! I'm an educated doctor who only saves lives. How could I possibly harm a child? I've been frad! Shen Youling, and to think we were best friends for so many years! You believe your husband's ridiculous story? Why won't you believe ? Sob..."
Originally, she had a terribly guilty conscience, knowing that a surveillance video existed showing her pulling Wu Xinyu's tooth. But now, the video was gone. How could she not be ecstatic?

The people who had been accusing Lin Tang felt their faces burn with sha, knowing they had wronged a good man. Furious at their own embarrassnt, their hatred for Shang Yuenong intensified. So even proposed they should cripple her completely and then parade her through the streets in disgrace.
Shen Xin and Dong Mingfeng were left speechless in the face of the ironclad evidence. Yao Qian and Zhong Liping turned pale, completely disillusioned with and heartbroken by Shang Yuenong.
Hua Fengchen and Yuan Zongqing stood frozen.
How are we supposed to save face now?
"Hmph, that video on your phone is so small, I can't see it clearly! Who knows if it's fake evidence synthesized with technology? Hand it over and let inspect it properly!" Yuan Zongqing suddenly lunged forward, intending to snatch the phone. He also planned to land a sneaky blow on Lin Tang, silencing him for good.
