"You have a fever, I’ll go find you so dicine." The warmth still lingered after his arms suddenly emptied. Instructor Mu felt a bit lost but got up calmly and walked out of the bedroom to find dicine for An Ran.
He knew the little girl was shy. If he acted too deliberately, it might push her away. He wasn’t worried. As long as he knew that, even subconsciously, the little girl had begun to rely on him, it was enough for him.
An Ran also knew she was sick; she felt dizzy, her mouth was dry like it was on fire, her face was burning hot. Despite the terrifying nightmare she had just experienced, she hadn’t even broken out in a sweat.
She couldn’t help feeling frustrated. How could her iron body get sick at this mont? Especially when she was with Mu Xing’er. Would he see her as a troublemaker?
Instructor Mu returned with the dicine and saw An Ran sitting on the bed, sighing. He handed her the dicine and asked with concern, "What’s wrong? Where do you feel uncomfortable?"
An Ran raised her head, her eyes still a bit red, and took the dicine from Instructor Mu’s hand but didn’t put it in her mouth. After hesitating for a while, she said, "Instructor Mu, thank you. I’m always causing you trouble."
After speaking, she lowered her head like a student admitting their mistake.
Instructor Mu raised his hand and ruffled her long hair, "Silly girl, being able to take care of you feels like a blessing to ."
Upon hearing this, An Ran lifted her head sharply, her eyes shimring with confusion.
Instructor Mu found her expression amusing and handed her the cup of water, "Take the dicine, drink more water."
An Ran took the cup and swallowed the dicine. Instructor Mu then twisted a towel and gently wiped her face. An Ran, burned up with fever, blankly let him wipe her, looking at his handso features and the softness between his brows.
"You just took the dicine, eat sothing a bit later." After wiping her face, Instructor Mu said.
"Instructor Mu," An Ran spoke blankly.
"Hm?" Instructor Mu thought she had sothing to say.
"You’re really kind," her voice was soft, sleepy, with a slight nasal tone, like a kitten’s paw gently scratching at his heart. Instructor Mu’s heart was about to lt. More importantly, she said he was kind.
Instructor Mu was about to say sothing when he heard An Ran continue, "Just like I imagined my father to be."
Instantly, the tenderness on Instructor Mu’s face shattered...
However, thinking that fatherly feelings would at least make her less guarded around him, Instructor Mu felt a bit more balanced. He sat by the bedside and asked softly, "What did you dream about earlier? Can you tell ?"
An Ran suddenly developing a fever was strange. Although he had rinsed her leg with cold water for a long ti yesterday, it shouldn’t have caused a fever. Instructor Mu thought about it and figured it was probably because she had been scared.
The terror in her eyes was unmistakable when she saw him, and even just now in her dream, she was clearly frightened. Sotis, facing one’s fears directly is the way to resolve them.
Listening to Instructor Mu’s voice, An Ran felt like her ears were pregnant. She hadn’t expected Instructor Mu’s tender voice to be even more captivating, like a warm spring breeze, magnetic and elegant, incredibly sexy. She couldn’t help but relax further.
"I’m afraid of the dark and scared of ghosts," An Ran said, then laughed at herself and looked at Instructor Mu. "Isn’t it ridiculous? Actually, I know there’s no such thing as ghosts in this world, but I’m still scared."
Instructor Mu didn’t speak, just listened quietly.
An Ran continued, "When I was a child, I was adopted by my foster father and taken ho without consulting my foster mother. There was already a daughter in the family, so naturally, they saw as an unnecessary burden..."
