Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself Chapter 269 - 282: Is This Ignoring Her?
Mu Xingfeng’s eyes darkened slightly, "Hurry up and freshen up, co down to eat."
He turned and went downstairs after speaking, afraid that if he stayed any longer, he might do sothing impulsive again.
An Ran pouted. Instructor Mu was getting more and more petty. So what if she stepped on his pajama pants? Was it that serious? She wouldn’t wear them anymore in the future.
Her stomach growled. An Ran tossed the pajama pants aside and went into the bathroom to freshen up. Afterward, she opened the wardrobe and saw it was neatly filled with won’s winter clothes, sent over by Mu Xingfeng’s sister yesterday. She picked a pair of skinny jeans and a loose sweater, which fit her perfectly.
Once she was ready, An Ran went downstairs barefoot. She couldn’t help it; the heated floors felt too comfortable to walk on without shoes.
Mu Xingfeng sat at the dining table calmly reading a military newspaper. Hearing the noise, he knew An Ran had co down. He lifted his eyes and saw the casually dressed girl.
She wore a loose black sweater, making her white swan-like neck visible. Her long black hair was loosely tied in a bun, which made her look even more lively. The skinny jeans showed off her perfectly shaped legs, and her small, fair feet hopped down the stairs.
This ti, Mu Xingfeng didn’t say anything. Instead, he went to the shoe cabinet and took out a pair of slippers for An Ran to wear. An Ran reluctantly put them on, sat opposite Mu Xingfeng, and said to the ever-ticulous man, "Instructor Mu, I’m not a child anymore. When it’s just the two of us, you can totally ignore ."
Wasn’t he tired of watching her every mont? Even if it was for show, there should be a limit, right?
Mu Xingfeng picked up his chopsticks and placed a piece of fried dough stick on An Ran’s plate, his thin lips parting slightly, "Alright."
An Ran glanced at the fried dough stick on her plate and twitched her mouth—was this what he called ignoring her?
After breakfast, An Ran took out her books. Mu Xingfeng had told her to stay ho and rest for a few days, so she decided to take this ti to finish her holiday howork.
Plus, the new sester would begin soon, and it was ti to choose her major. She needed to prepare.
By the floor-to-ceiling windows was a small round glass tea table. The warm winter sun shone in, and An Ran sat at the small table reading her book.
Suddenly, a strong scent of traditional Chinese dicine wafted over. Nanny Chen carefully walked over, carrying a small bowl.
"Miss An, it’s ti to take your dicine."
"dicine?" An Ran frowned, looking at the small half-bowl of black liquid that Nanny Chen placed in front of her.
"Yes, Doctor Yuan prescribed it for you. He said it’s to nourish your qi and blood," Nanny Chen said with a smile.
An Ran twitched her mouth, "Can I skip it? Nanny Chen, your soups are so nourishing already, why do I need to drink Chinese dicine?" She really hated drinking Chinese dicine.
"They’re two different things. Chinese dicine can fundantally improve your health," Mu Xingfeng ca down the stairs, flipping through An Ran’s textbook on the desk and said, "Doesn’t the future Doctor An understand this principle?"
An Ran looked at Mu Xingfeng pitifully, "Can I not drink it? I feel fine now, no more dizziness," mainly because the sll of the dicine made her nauseous.
"No, you can’t," Mu Xingfeng put down the book and said sternly. With him around, he could no longer let this girl be reckless, especially when it ca to her health.
An Ran saw the coldness in Mu Xingfeng’s eyes and imdiately felt timid. She had witnessed the iron-fisted way Instructor Mu dealt with his soldiers. Honestly, she was really scared.
