Landon Sinclair spoke with his grandfather for quite a while before convincing him not to co over.

He simply urged Landon Sinclair to take good care of Chloe Sinclair.

Jasper Shaw sat on the sofa, his gaze never leaving Chloe Sinclair.

After hanging up, Landon Sinclair noticed sothing was off about Jasper Shaw’s gaze and instinctively used his body to block the man’s line of sight.

Then, he looked down at Jasper Shaw. "The Sinclair family will rember Mr. Shaw’s kindness. If you ever need anything in the future, please don’t hesitate to ask."

After speaking, he feigned a glance at a non-existent watch on his wrist and said expressionlessly, "It’s getting very late. Mr. Shaw, perhaps it’s ti for you to leave."

A smile touched Jasper Shaw’s lips. His deep gaze locked onto Landon Sinclair. His expression was gentle, yet it made Landon feel like prey being stalked by a predator.

Despite Landon Sinclair’s imposing aura, he still felt a little flustered under Jasper Shaw’s stare.

Just as he was about to lose his composure, Jasper Shaw suddenly moved, rising from the sofa. "I’ll be leaving then."

Landon Sinclair’s expression didn’t change, but he said, "I’ll see you out."

His tone was exceedingly cheerful.

Jasper Shaw paused, his voice cool. "No need."

With that, he left the hospital room without a backward glance.

Outside, gentle sunlight filtered through the white curtains, casting mottled patterns of light onto the cream-colored bedsheets.

She froze for a mont, then called out, "Dad, Eldest Brother, Second Brother."

Landon Sinclair reacted the fastest. The mont he saw Chloe Sinclair was awake, he imdiately walked toward the hospital bed.

He touched Chloe Sinclair’s forehead and, finding no sign of a fever, breathed a sigh of relief.

"Mrs. Logan made you so grain congee today. Give it a try."

Hearing this, Chloe Sinclair looked down at the watery grain congee. Her expression darkened, and she said nothing.

"What’s wrong?"

Landon Sinclair noticed sothing was amiss and thought Chloe Sinclair was feeling unwell.

At this, Mr. Sinclair and Ethan Sinclair imdiately grew tense.

"It’s not that." Chloe Sinclair sighed. "I don’t like thin congee."

Landon Sinclair was even more puzzled. "Didn’t you use to like it?"

’Why doesn’t she like it anymore?’

"Nina Sinclair likes it, I don’t." Chloe Sinclair looked up, a trace of stubbornness in her eyes. "Anyway, I’m not drinking it."
