After a long while of walking, almost endlessly... I can see the city of Fiere in the distance. It was huge with tall buildings, short ones, and even so dium sized buildings.
All sorts of dark silver like tal was what painted the main look of most of the buildings, so with different styles of designs while others were basic.
The images on the building were definitely signs that this was the demon realm though. I can see various horn designs with different won and n on the sides of a few of the buildings.
"It isn’t the prettiest city in the realm but it is the main one we’ll be going to." Eliza says while continuing to lead.
"Did you ever see how it looks before you—" I begin to question before stopping myself.
"Yes. It doesn’t really change much here so I would say it is about the sa as it was." She responds without any problems.
As we start to enter the city I can see various people walking around in similar attire to what I’m wearing. It wasn’t anything fancy here, that’s for sure.
The people walking past did seem to give strange looks towards us but when they noticed Eliza, they stopped.
Sothing about Eliza is keeping them from wanting to do anything or say anything it seems. Maybe she holds so sort of status here as well.
It would make sense since we found her inside of a church after all. I don’t really know what that’ll an in the long run but for now this isn’t a bad thing.
Velia and Aria probably stick out like a sore thumb though since they both look human. Well, they are human so obviously they’d look human.
This whole thing is going to be an interesting ti.
Eliza being with you is the biggest reason you’ll probably avoid any problems here with them. Church mbers are still respected heavily within the demon culture.
That’s how they were in my world as well. It isn’t shocking to see this but it doesn’t an sothing won’t happen.
Humans are always going to be t with hostility in a place like this after everything that the monarch did. Bringing them here as enemies.
Wow, that was a lot more talking than I expected. You’ve been quiet so I didn’t expect it but yeah. Humans were the ones he brought here to attack them and make them look bad.
Made us look like we were the enemies here from the start which makes it easier for when the plan starts.
He’ll have an army ready to bring chaos to the humans in my world.
"Where are we going exactly?" Aria asks with so curiosity in her voice.
"Slayers would know the most so the guild building where they reside would be the best place to start." Eliza answers.
I begin to look around for any sign of a guild building and eventually I can see a sign in the distance with a symbol of a Phoenix above the door. I’d assu that is the place we are looking for.
Demons seem to have so good taste for their symbols and nas apparently. "Rising Phoenix" was the na posted with the sign.
"I’m pretty sure that’s the place." I say while pointing ahead.
"What does it look like?" Eliza asks curiously.
"A Phoenix is above the door." I answer.
She continues to walk towards the building. "This is the place to go then." She says while moving forward.
It honestly makes a lot of sense that they’d have guilds since the angel did ntion them having awakenings here as well. It should’ve been sothing I expected but I didn’t think about it.
Eventually we made it up the small set of steps and into the main guild hall. As we set foot inside the hall I can see demons wearing all sorts of different armor.
Rusted iron armor with chains wrapped around their wrists, swords at their hip, and so wearing pure silver armor that looks like it just ca out the shop.
I didn’t expect to see demons with armor like this but I guess everyone functions differently in each place. Humans wear armor too but I don’t think it has the sa kind of appearance to it.
So also use a lot of the tech improved armor from the cities that still provide such a thing.
I’m honestly fine without armor since it adds weight to , I’d prefer to keep fighting without it. Speed is essential in a lot of the fights that I’ve been dealing with.
Just they haven’t been lasting very long since most of the enemies haven’t been as strong as I expected. I’m sure longer fights await though.
"A mber of the church is here, how odd." A demon whispers.
"Just ignore anything you hear. Most will be surprised by my presence here." Eliza says softly to us.
"Will the person behind the counter ahead be able to give us so information on what we are looking for?" I ask while looking ahead.
"Perhaps. We just need to watch how we ask things here." She responds with caution in her voice.
The demons in this guild hall were already staring at us to begin with... So this wasn’t going to be easy. This many eyes is definitely a problem when we haven’t even gotten any information yet.
There’s at least 20 slayers in here, that ans most of them have awakened to be within this guild anyway.
I won’t be able to fight them all if it cos down to it because I don’t know where any of them fall with their ranks. That’s the biggest problem at hand here since they could have S rankshidden amongst the crowd.
"Let’s just make haste." Velia suggests.
That is exactly what we start to do, making our way over to the counter where a man wearing a grey tattered trench coat stands with his arms crossed.
"What can I do for you?" He asks with a calm, yet serious tone.
He doesn’t seem to be phased in the slightest by us or that we could be humans.
"Information on a Lord if possible." Eliza responds calmly as well.
His expression imdiately changed to a more serious one as he stared back at us like we just said sothing vile.
