Li Yang was stunned. He hadn’t understood the aning of the World Realm before, but now, it all made sense.
Seeing Li Yang’s shocked expression, Soul Ink was quite pleased. He said calmly, "Don’t worry. The World Realm is incredibly difficult for others, but with my help, you’ll have no problem reaching it."
Li Yang froze for a second. Then, a look of delighted surprise flashed in his eyes. "Really?" he asked.
’I can reach the World Realm... and live for a million years?’
"Of course."
Soul Ink pointed at the World Tree. "Because you have the World Tree clone!" he said calmly.
Li Yang’s gaze fell upon the white tree beside him.
"The cosmos is teeming with life—so with great Talent, others with very little. There are beings born with such imnse cultivation Talent that they can comprehend Laws at an astonishing speed."
"Take the Thunder Law, for instance. It can be broken down into four fundantals: Thunder Domain, Thunder Armor, Burst, and Polarity. As long as you fully comprehend any one of these four, you can reach the World Realm. Now, consider a creature called a Thunder Star Beast. Just by growing up normally, it can completely master Burst, one of the four fundantals of thunder. So tell , is reaching the World Realm difficult for a Thunder Star Beast?"
Li Yang was stunned. ’It can master one of the four fundantals of the Thunder Law just by growing up? That’s an absurdly powerful creature!’
Soul Ink added, "Now, following that logic, imagine if your World Tree clone nurtured a Thunder Star Beast..."
He didn’t continue, letting the implication hang in the air. A flicker of excitent was unmistakable in Li Yang’s eyes.
’If the World Tree clone really nurtured a Thunder Star Beast, I should be able to quickly master one of the Thunder Law’s fundantals, too. And once I master it, I’ll be in the World Realm!’
"Now do you understand why I said that octopus of yours is useless? It serves no purpose at all."
Soul Ink glanced at the octopus clone in the distance, his tone thick with disdain.
Two clones! That ant the chance to rapidly comprehend two different Laws! But Li Yang had wasted one of them, nurturing this utterly useless Eight-ard Octopus.
Li Yang didn’t answer. ’Looking back,’ he thought, ’nurturing the octopus clone really was a waste.’
’But the octopus clone has also done so much for . Without it, I never would have gotten this far this quickly.’
After a mont’s thought, Li Yang asked, "So where can I find a Thunder Star Beast? Don’t tell there are so on Earth?"
It was a beautiful dream, but reality was harsh.
With Earth’s current technology, humanity could only reach a handful of celestial bodies like the Moon and Mars, let alone travel the Milky Way and make contact with other inhabited planets.
To this day, humans didn’t even know if aliens existed.
"Don’t be hasty," Soul Ink said calmly. "If I recall correctly, there should be the body of a Thunder Star Beast sowhere on Earth."
"There’s one on Earth?" Li Yang was overjoyed.
"Yes. I thought it was strange at the ti, too," said Soul Ink. "Go find it now, and begin the nurturing process."
Li Yang nodded, his gaze falling on the black Crystal Stone before him.
"Put the Crystal Stone in your backpack. I can speak to you without revealing myself. Just leave the World Tree here for now. Once you find the Thunder Star Beast, just bring back a small skin fragnt."
"Sigh," Soul Ink said. "I was too arrogant back then and didn’t leave anything for myself. A Spatial Ring would make things much more convenient. But we’ll definitely have to craft one later."
"Crafting a Spatial Ring?"
Li Yang asked curiously, "You can craft one?"
"Of course. I’m one of the top Artifact Refiners in the entire Cosmos. Take this Soul Crystal, for example. I’m the only one in the entire Cosmos who can craft it. Even though my soul was annihilated, I was still able to use the Soul Crystal to preserve a trace of it. So how skilled would you say I am at Artifact Refining?"
Li Yang remained silent. ’If you’re so powerful, how did you still end up getting killed?’ he thought wryly.
Seeing Li Yang’s lack of reaction, Soul Ink sighed in exasperation. "Forget it. You’re too weak, kid. You wouldn’t understand any of this anyway. You’ll find out just how skilled I am at Artifact Refining in the future."
Li Yang placed the two black Crystal Stones into his backpack.
"Kid, swear an oath right now. Swear that when you have the strength in the future, you will repair my Soul Crystal." Instead of imdiately revealing the Thunder Star Beast’s location, Soul Ink stated his terms.
’So there are strings attached, just as I thought.’
Hearing Soul Ink’s words, however, actually put Li Yang at ease.
For so unknown reason, this Soul Ink was clearly in a terrible state, able to exist only by relying on the Soul Crystal.
And yet, he was offering to help him nurture a Thunder Star Beast clone and break through to the World Realm.
They had only just t. Why would Soul Ink be so kind? Li Yang simply didn’t buy it.
This huge opportunity must be because Soul Ink needed sothing from him.
With this in mind, Li Yang nodded without hesitation. "I, Li Yang, swear that if I ever beco strong enough, I will do everything in my power to help Soul Ink repair the Soul Crystal..."
Seeing Li Yang swear the solemn oath, Soul Ink nodded in satisfaction.
He told Li Yang the location of the Thunder Star Beast’s remains. It was several hundred kiloters from Coastal City.
Li Yang prepared to set off at once. As he was leaving the seabed, a thought struck him, and he asked curiously, "Soul Ink, you ntioned the World Realm... what cos after that? Are there even higher realms of power?"
For the first ti, Li Yang was getting a clear picture of what the cosmos was truly like. He was intensely curious, especially about the different levels of power.
"Of course there are." Soul Ink’s voice echoed directly in Li Yang’s mind. "Your Milky Way contains hundreds of thousands of inhabited planets. World Realm experts are rare, but compared to the vast territory of the Human Race, the entire Milky Way is but a drop in the ocean."
Soul Ink stated bluntly, "The realm above the World Realm is the Divine Realm."
"Deities?" Li Yang repeated, his heart stirring.
"To be undying, indestructible, and have an eternal lifespan—that is what it ans to be a Deity."
Soul Ink explained calmly, "Before the Divine Realm, even though one’s lifespan is long, it is still finite. But upon reaching the Divine Realm, one’s lifespan becos infinite."
"What? An infinite lifespan?"
Li Yang was utterly astounded.
"Don’t get ahead of yourself. To you, the Divine Realm is nothing but a myth. Even an unnatural prodigy like the Thunder Star Beast can only reach the World Realm through normal growth. The Divine Realm is an insurmountable chasm even for them!"
Li Yang gave a wry smile.
’Forget the Divine Realm,’ he thought. ’Even the Longevity Realm and Star Lord Realm are just legends to .’
A new thought surfaced, and Li Yang suddenly asked, "Soul Ink, did you ever reach the Divine Realm?"
Considering Soul Ink’s condition—surviving even as a re wisp of a soul—his power must have been unimaginable.
"What do you think?"
Soul Ink didn’t answer, clearly thinking the question was foolish.
"Alright, kid. Tell about this planet of yours—the number of powerful individuals, the level of technological advancent, everything."
Clearly, Soul Ink didn’t want to discuss the matter further.
Li Yang had no choice but to drop it and began to tell him about Earth.
