After sending the Sergeant out on his mission to recruit as many volunteers as possible, I was set upon my other tasks. The Empire was ramping up building War machines in the distance, Catapults, and various other old-ti warfare items, which would be annoying. Sure, they were ant to go against Castle and City walls, but now we were in trenches, which did not an they would do nothing.
Rocks could land in trenches and make movent more difficult and could land on soone and kill them. An enchanted bolder could explode, and the shrapnel would make it a large grenade. It was nice that they had no idea how to make trebuchets, which were much better at it for the level of technology. The Tina 1 was like bringing a gun to a knife fight, except there were guns in this world. But the musket was not strong at this ti, and B rankers would shrug the bullets off. If it was not for the Dwarven and Gno pride in making tech without mana and then adding Mana afterward to see what would happen, the tech of the world would probably be even worse.
I found that Mana made technology quite weird in the world, and both slowed it and sped it up in different ways. But when it ca to combat, it seed it lagged behind greatly, which was fine for as I went into etings with Elders and Isabelle for hours on end for various battle plans. The human A rankers had not seed fit to show themselves again since the last battle, and no one attacked, so the standoff continued as they did not want to sacrifice their lives for anything, which made sense.
So here I was, back in the city after a week since the volunteer notice went out when I finally got my first report from the Sergeant. My eyes widened as I read the report. "Is this real?!" I demanded, and the ssenger nodded.
"Yes, Supre Commander. It seems that many people would rather leave Border City because of how close to the front it is. Your incentive of an education for the kids ans that many parents would not mind having your child if the rest of their children would also get an education," the ssenger replied, and I frowned.
I looked at the report again, and I sighed.

After consulting with my Staff Sergeant, we put out notices at popular taverns and food resupply areas. This has seed to be t with two differing opinions. One where people are disgusted with you for even proposing such a thing, and we have taken note of many of them in case of rebellion. But the overwhelming population has wholeheartedly greeted it with happiness.
The fact that you offered their entire family to be moved out after impregnating them and bringing them to a place where they would be fairly compensated and find work made them skeptical that it was real. But the conditions of the place you reported made people trust you. It seems to report that the place was a new settlent that had not grown and would be built by them, which made it believable, and so, many won, with permission from their n or they are single won. I also put out that if they are caught abusing your children or treating them unfairly from your other kids, then they will be pulled out, and your family's assistance will disappear.
Despite these things, we have received 2478 applications, and it is tying up significant resources. So, I have set up a group of two female bunny-kin and two male bunny-kin to interview the applicants with one B ranker who is available to assist in breaking ties and go through the families to choose if we believe they are suitable. With that, we eliminated so that clearly hate us. We cleared out those that seem to have hidden objectives. Still, we found 100 volunteers for you to start imdiately while we continue to go through more and more applicants.
Also, this is taking more resources from logistics than the Base Commander likes. She wishes for you to finish whatever this is for in haste so that the thirty Logistics personnel it is using can be returned to duty. The population does not have the ability to read and write, so we must use our more educated people to assist the populace in making applications.
Sergeant Freewind"
Fuck, I did not expect this to be such a drain on resources, but "Alright, bring to where the Volunteers are resting and waiting for ," I ordered the ssenger, who saluted and began showing the way. When they brought out of the imdiate headquarters and then to a Noble Brothel, I noticed a large number of Human won there. All of them were clean and slled nice. Soone was making sure I got nothing but the best and did not have anyone dirty for . It was a nice little addition, and I walked up, and the ladies trembled as they saw co inside.
"We have brought a large portion of them to the Mistress Quarters, and they are waiting there. They will tell everyone what you say; if there is sothing wrong with this, please let know." The ssenger said, although sothing told this private was soone a Sergeant was trying to promote. The kid was doing their best to ensure I was happy and I knew everything that was going on.
I walked up into the Mistress quarters and found a space for to walk to the desk at the front, where there were twenty won, all looking beautiful. All in dresses looking beautiful, and I moved to the desk, and the ssenger stood at the door. "Alright, ladies, you have all heard the terms?" I asked bluntly, and the ladies nodded together. "Good, then I will repeat what I an bluntly, and you can tell everyone else after we start. I will be Impregnating you tonight; I will go through each one of you and force you to ovulate with mana. I know a lot about anatomy." I quickly added, "While doing so, I will ensure that your body is healthy enough to bear that child, and if not, I might modify your body in order to ensure that you can undergo travel with a baby. Then you will leave here, and you and your closest family mbers will be sent back to a city that we are building that needs labor and population. You will be completely provided for during the months of your pregnancy, but we also cannot allow you to be a burden forever. If you are single, we will expect you to find a job; if you are married, we expect your husband to find a job imdiately once you arrive UNLESS there are complications." I added. "Except for the free ride back to the beast kin Nation, this is no free ride. There is a ton of work that needs to be done, and silver and gold are moving around in order to make things happen. We are hoping by the ti that the kids we make together turn five, at least the academy and the basics of the city are done, if not more. Without you and your families working, where will the kids learn like I promised?"
The question hung in the air for a mont before I continued, "Which also brings to education, All your current kids and future kids, as long as you treat mine fairly and do not abuse them, will be provided for at the Academy that will be built. Understand?" I asked and saw so nods but so confusion as well, "The Academy you will be building is for yourselves and your future. Without it, you have less; with it, you will have provided the best future for your child, rivaling NOBILITY."
That stunned them, and they started to clap, and I wanted to roll my eyes, but I put up my hand instead. "Good, now that I have made myself clear on the benefits and what I will be doing to your bodies, if people wish to back out, they can, if not," I grinned, "et in the Mistress's bedroom in twenty. Otherwise, go out and tell all the other volunteers what I have said." I finished, and the girls left without making a scene.
I leaned back, stared at the ceiling, and sighed.
I am really going to be doing this.
