Lucas's official announcent dashed the hopes of many "Monster Hunter: World" fans who were looking forward to the tough, dance-on-the-edge gaplay of a Soulslike ga.
But most players focused on what Lucas's reply revealed.
It's a pure hunting ga, not a Soulslike, with equipnt to collect and upgrade.
Many players were taken by surprise.
Because the official announcent, though brief, revealed a lot.
In this parallel world, co-op gas aren't rare.
But purely co-op gas are less common.
Most combine player-versus-player with co-op elents.
After all, in a pure co-op ga, everything depends on the level maps and boss designs.
Adding player-versus-player is easier to develop content for and keeps players engaged longer.
So purely co-op gas are quite rare.
Hunting gas, though there are so good series, are also rare, with new entries coming out every two or three years.
It's hard to find a core gaplay loop that works.
So older hunting gas either get reskinned or completely revamped.
More often, they're added as extra mini-ga systems to first-person shooters and action role-playing gas.
Very few are released as standalone titles.
If there's one difference, it's that Lucas's "Monster Hunter: World" focuses specifically on hunting dragons.
And the players following the ga are talking about "Monster Hunter: World" being a hunting ga.
"Hunting gas? I can't think of any that are fun. The ones I played before were so boring."
"Yeah, they feel like running simulators."
" 1! You spend forever tracking the prey, then one shot and it's dead."
"I wonder what the gaplay will be like! With the size of the player compared to the dragon, will we be the ones getting hunted?"
"Probably not. Lucas said it won't be a Soulslike, and there's loot to grind. It might be a fast-paced action hunting ga."
"That makes sense! Lucas is warning us on the official account so people who expect Dark Souls don't buy it and get disappointed."
"If it's a grindy ga, I hope the dragons are tough to take down. The hunting gas I played before were too easy."
As the players talked excitedly, "Monster Hunter: World" continued developnt.
Lucas revealed more through the official account and website.
There are over ten kinds of weapons, each offering a different experience.
There are no classes in this ga, just hunters.
Players can decide which weapon to use.
Each weapon is like a different class. If you get bored, just switch to a new one.
The ga's environnts, like the Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale, and Elder's Recess, were also revealed to the players bit by bit.
They were breathtakingly beautiful.
There were also simple explanations of the ga's setting, like the Hunter's Guild and the Azure Star.
With the concept art of the environnts and what Lucas has said about the gaplay, players could start to imagine what the ga would be like.
Players will be hunters exploring a realistic world and hunting.
They'll hunt powerful dragons, and eventually beco legendary hunters, known as the Azure Star, guiding future hunters.
Perfect!
Use different weapons to hunt dragons and collect materials to make gear.
Then beco the amazing Azure Star.
With these details released, the players got even more excited.
I'm going to beco a hunter!
I'm going to hunt Elder Dragons!
No one can stop from becoming the Azure Star!
Especially because the marketing says the ga will use the latest AI technology.
It will show a vibrant ecosystem.
We don't know what the AI technology will be like or what the ga itself will be like.
But this teased experience slls amazing, even through the screen.
This is because Nebula Gas' releases have always surprised players in a good way.
Sotis the surprise is a bit much, but it can't be denied that the gas are high quality.
So there's no reason for players not to be excited about "Monster Hunter: World."
Of course, so players are still not entirely optimistic.
From the size of the dragons compared to the tiny hunters, it made so players feel uneasy.
"Why do you guys think this will be an easy ga? What if it's a hardcore ga like Dark Souls?"
"No way! Lucas already said it's not a Soulslike, and it has grindy elents. How hard can it be?"
"Yeah, Lucas always lies to us, saying that the hamr has philosophical aning, talking about loving warriors while making Outlast and Silent Hill PT. But Lucas said on the official account that it's not a Soulslike, so 'Monster Hunter: World' can't be a Soulslike!"
"And from what we know, we'll be part of an organization! I bet we can hire NPC hunter teammates to fight monsters together!"
"Yeah! It'll be fun, and there's co-op. Up to 4 people hunting together! Gas with multiplayer aren't usually too hard. And even if it's hard, is it harder than Dark Souls? I've beaten Dark Souls eight tis!"
"Dude, that sounds cool, but can you turn off your Nebula Gas platform verification? You've only played both Dark Souls gas for 8 hours total, and you've beaten it eight tis?"
Players were discussing the marketing for "Monster Hunter: World" online.
Most players were excited.
Even though there aren't many good hunting gas out there.
This is a Nebula Gas ga. Over the years, Lucas has gained a lot of s for so reason.
But Nebula Gas' reputation for quality is trusted by more and more players.
And "Monster Hunter: World" is different from other hunting gas.
Most hunting gas have you taking down lions and tigers.
"Monster Hunter: World" has shown off one monster, called Nergigante.
But the concept art is so intimidating that many players are eager to fight it.
Not to ntion the beautiful environnts like the Ancient Forest and Coral Highlands.
