Now reading: Chapter 127 - 127 - The Clash of Faith from Game Of Thrones: The King's Court Wizard, a Other novel by TheGreatPrince.

On the outskirts of Oldtown, near the Seat of the Faith of the Seven.

Kinvara was in her tent, calmly sipping a glass of juice; her dark red eyes, like beautiful rubies, held a pensive gaze. The woman wore a long red dress; even her shoes were red. Gold and rubies adorned her ears, fingers, and wrists.

The High Priestess of the Great Red Temple of Volantis seed thoughtful as she tried to unravel visions of the future through the flas of the previous night. As always, the words of R'hllor were confusing and difficult to decipher, even for her, who was hundreds of years old.

"A city burning, people praying fervently, a seven-pointed star shining over the world," Kinvara murmured; her expression grew increasingly uncertain. She knew the Seven-Pointed Star represented the Faith of the Seven, but the burning city and the people praying were still things she hadn't been able to decode.

There were many possibilities; so many that Kinvara rubbed her forehead, feeling a slight headache. Her role as High Priestess was never truly an easy job.

Suddenly, Kinvara's expression changed drastically. The woman, who was over four hundred years old, took on a solemn look. She stepped out of the tent and gazed toward Oldtown with a cold, calm stare.

Under her eyes, white flas rose toward the sky; a seven-pointed star shone in the night sky. It looked like a lighthouse in the middle of a sea of darkness, glowing with a seven-colored radiance.

Kinvara's face turned cold; she stepped forward, looked at all the red priestesses around her, and spoke in a calm tone. "Begin praying; we are going to war."

As soon as the won around her heard those words, they did not hesitate. All the red priestesses knelt, joined their hands, and began to pray in low, fervent murmurs.

With the prayers of the red priestesses, a crimson fla glowed above the Red Faith's camp. In the opposite direction of the Seven-Pointed Star, a Red Star shone in the night sky. It burned like an eternal and impregnable fla.

With the arrival of the Red Star, a third star shone in the night sky. But unlike the Red Star or the Seven-Pointed Star, this star seed dead, with a frigid and terrifying blue glow, leaving anyone who looked at it with an uncomfortable feeling.

Seeing the Blue Star, Kinvara's face remained calm and indifferent. It was not surprising that the Blue God would manifest at this mont. Faced with two enemy gods, Kinvara had absolute confidence in R'hllor.

Kinvara was the first to attack; her body burned with a crimson fla, enveloping her like a cloak of terrible heat. Her body floated into the air while her hair fluttered wildly behind her.

To be considered an apostle was the pinnacle of power a mortal could possess. Kinvara had earned that title about two hundred and fifteen years ago when she beca the High Priestess of the Great Red Temple of Volantis.

Extending her hand forward, she created a red ring of flas, and with a flick of her hand, the ring of fire began to spin uncontrollably, creating a loud, high-pitched hum.

"Go." With Kinvara's words, the Ring of Flas tore through the air with brutality and advanced toward the Walls of Oldtown.

The terrifying, high-pitched hum echoed for miles.

The Ring of Flas advanced like a cot, leaving a trail of fire behind.

The mont the Ring of Flas was about to touch the Wall, a seven-colored glow blossod in the air; a massive colored barrier manifested in front of the Ring of Flas.

When the Ring of Flas collided with the Seven-Colored Wall, a blinding flash was born in the night sky, like a gigantic fireball. The remnants of energy spread across the entire continent, catching the attention of anyone with notable perception.

The Ring of Flas spun furiously, trying to destroy the Wall, and it was succeeding; cracks appeared along the Seven-Colored Wall. However, the energy of the attack was not infinite, and after ten seconds, the Ring of Flas extinguished itself.

Kinvara, floating in the air with a cloak of flas around her, looked at the top of the wall and saw a child, no more than twelve years old. The child held a sword too large for his body, and a seven-colored glow shone over the sword and the boy.

His long black hair fell to the ground, so long was it.

The High Priestess couldn't help but frown. In her perception, the child was certainly not an Apostle, but a re vessel imbued with a large amount of divine energy from the gods.

In other words, he was a re child carrying a power he couldn't truly control. Literally a baby holding a sword.

"Does your faith not have an apostle?" Kinvara asked in a calm tone. She was sowhat dissatisfied at being so underestimated. Sending a child to fight her, a woman over four hundred years old?

The boy with long black hair did not answer; he took a step forward and was already about a hundred ters from Kinvara. Surprisingly, the ground where his feet touched dripped with golden honey.

"A saint." Kinvara was surprised and spoke in a slightly sharper tone. Unlike an apostle who earned their power through years of training, devotion, and sweat, Saints were simply born chosen to receive the power of the gods.

However, apostles were more common, while saints were extrely rare, with only a few born every millennium or even longer. Currently, the Red Faith had no Saints; R'hllor had not graced the Red Faith with a Saint for a long ti.

The reason for this was the Divine War with the Blue God; there was no ti to prepare a child as a Saint.

Kinvara was surprised by the arrival of a Saint, but she was not afraid. Saints could be strong, but they were generally completely unsuitable for fighting, as they spent their days praying and helping the common people.

"Hegere, this is not your territory; retreat." The child's cold, indifferent voice rang out across the battlefield. The boy with long black hair and green eyes looked at Kinvara with a gaze full of repugnance.

"By order of King Rhaegar I Targaryen, I have been tasked with indoctrinating this continent. That includes this territory." Kinvara's response was simple and cold.

"That incestuous freak has no power over Oldtown or even this continent. The faith has always been and always will be that of the Seven-Faced God." The boy replied in an even colder and more indifferent tone. The sword in his hand flickered, showing he was about to attack.

Kinvara just smiled and, in a re instant, attacked again. Gigantic fireballs blossod around Kinvara, illuminating everything within ten kiloters. "R'hllor said the world needs light for life to flourish."

With her words, the gigantic fireballs fell toward the battlefield. The sound of burning flas echoed in the area before violently colliding with the ground.

The boy moved, the sword in his hand glowed for a mont, and in an instant, a sharp sound rang out. A fireball was cut in half as he himself advanced toward Kinvara.

"A saint focused on lee." Kinvara murmured as she created distance. Although she knew how to fight with her body, she wouldn't do it, especially knowing the other side's specialty was close-quarters combat.

After all, she might be good at lee, but it wasn't her specialty. So, it was foolish to fight head-on against a combat specialist.

The boy realized this and showed an unpleasant expression. Just as Kinvara quickly guessed, he truly specialized in lee combat. The miracle within him manifested primarily in physical form.

Taking a deep breath, power coursed through the body of the Saint of the Faith of the Seven, and in a re instant, the earth beneath him was shattered as he lunged forward, turning into a blur enveloped in a seven-colored light.

Kinvara didn't even blink, and gigantic spears of fire manifested around her and lunged at the boy. The spears, dozens of ters long, didn't hit, as the Saint was very fast, but they still hindered his advance, which was Kinvara's purpose.

The High Priestess had already opened a great distance in that short amount of ti and continued to do so, as the saint had not stopped.

Halting his advance, the Saint showed a cold expression; he couldn't help but glare at the woman floating in the air. However, thinking of sothing, he looked at the Red Faith's camp and the figures kneeling on the ground.

He knew those won were praying to manifest the Red Star, strengthening Kinvara's powers as long as the Red Star was in the sky.

With a cold look, he was about to kill all the won when he noticed a figure beside him, about two ters away.

Suddenly, the hair on the saint's body stood on end as his body desperately wanted to flee far away.

An erald-green glow shone over his face.

"Avada Kedavra." Cadmus's calm voice rang out across the battlefield.
