Under the careful planning of the "Web" organization, riots broke out in King's Landing. Cersei and Joffrey were plunged into a massive public relations crisis. The City Watch was pulled away to guard the Red Keep and suppress the enraged smallfolk.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Eddard Stark and Sansa Stark disguised themselves and escaped King's Landing.

With all the ports of King's Landing sealed, they had no choice but to risk traveling north by land.

White Ridge Pass.

An unremarkable carriage slowly passed through the checkpoint. The driver was a young man, and inside sat two figures wearing hoods.

"Stop!" A guard raised his hand.

The driver reined in the horse and handed over a docunt.

The guard examined the docunt, then looked at the people in the carriage.

"Remove your hoods."

A middle-aged man took off his hood, revealing a weary but resolute face. The guard looked him over for a few seconds, then waved them through.

"Go on."

The carriage slowly crossed the checkpoint and entered Jaqenion family territory.

Inside the carriage, Sansa Stark tightly gripped her father's hand, her voice trembling.

"Father… are we… are we safe now?"

Eddard Stark nodded and gently patted her hand.

"We are safe for now."

He looked out the window at the prosperous land under construction.

Neat farmlands, smooth roads, spirited pedestrians… everything was completely different from the Westeros he knew.

"That young baron Luke is truly extraordinary," he murmured.

The carriage stopped at a fork in the road.

Stone jumped down, saluted Eddard, and said, "Lord Eddard, by Lord Luke's orders, I will escort you and Lady Sansa to Draco for refuge. It is very safe there — no one would dare cause trouble. The Riverlands are dangerous right now. Are you sure you won't co with us?"

Eddard shook his head.

"Tywin has not yet taken Harrenhal. I still have a chance to slip through the Riverlands. I must find Robb. I cannot rest easy with him facing that old lion Tywin alone."

He looked at Sansa, his eyes full of guilt and love.

"Sansa, go with Stone. Lord Luke is a good man. He will take care of you. When the war ends, I will co for you."

Tears welled up in Sansa's eyes.

"Father…"

Eddard hugged her, then resolutely turned away. He mounted a horse that had been prepared in advance and disappeared down the northern road.

Stone watched his back vanish, then turned to Sansa.

"My lady, let us go."

Sansa nodded and climbed back into the carriage.

The carriage slowly headed toward Draco.

Several days later, Harrenhal, the Riverlands.

This colossal castle, once belonging to Black Harren, now flew the crimson banners of House Lannister.

Tywin Lannister stood atop the highest tower, looking down at the scorched land below.

In his hand, he held a stack of papers.

The paper was thin and white, printed with exquisite quality. But the content on it turned the Lion of the West's face iron-grey.

Cersei and Jai…

In every position, in every location!

And the scene of Jai pushing Bran Stark from the tower window — so clear it was as if he had witnessed it himself.

Tywin's hand trembled slightly.

He crumpled the papers into a ball and smashed them to the ground.

He had just repelled the main Northern infantry force led by Roose Bolton. Although he had lost over a thousand n, eight out of ten were mountain clansn tricked into service by Tyrion, while the North had lost more than six thousand.

A casualty ratio of 1:7. A delightful victory!

But his good mood had been completely ruined by the "news" from King's Landing.

"Damn it!"

His voice was low and suppressed, yet more chilling than any roar.

"Useless for success, but excellent at causing failure!"

Beside him, Tyrion Lannister lazily leaned back in his chair and picked up one of the papers that had fallen to the ground.

He tilted his head, studying the image of Jai and Cersei in the act, and clicked his tongue.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk."

There was a hint of schadenfreude in his tone.

"Well, now the evidence is ironclad. How can the Seven Kingdoms believe in Joffrey's legitimacy? Knowing Eddard Stark's nature, he will surely ally with Stannis. Right now, all of King's Landing is saying the Lannisters are a house of incest."

Tywin turned his head and narrowed his eyes at him.

The look was as dangerous as a viper about to strike.

"You are the sha of House Lannister."

He spoke each word deliberately.

"If I could prove you were not my son, I would have killed you long ago, Imp."

Tyrion shrugged, his smile unchanged, though a shadow flashed in his eyes.

The real sha is in the papers in your hand! Laid bare for all the world to see.

At that mont, a servant rushed in, his face deathly pale.

"My lord! Urgent report from the front!"

Tywin took the letter and opened it.

His expression changed.

For the first ti, a ripple appeared on that usually calm, bottomless face.

"Jai has been captured."

His voice was calm, but Tyrion could hear the suppressed storm beneath it.

"Whispering Wood. The Young Wolf Robb led a surprise attack. Jai took two thousand two hundred and fifty cavalry out to fight and fell into an ambush… the entire force was wiped out. Jai was taken prisoner."

He paused, then added:

"Eddard Stark has returned to the Northern army and joined forces with Roose Bolton."

Tyrion raised an eyebrow.

"Well, this is perfect," he said breezily. "Luckily we still have a little she-wolf in our hands. If we use her to trade for Jai, we still have bargaining power. If we didn't have her…"

So Tywin still held one trump card!

Not long ago, the Imp had escaped from the mountain clans in the Vale and rejoined Tywin at Harrenhal. At the ti, Tywin had been searching everywhere for Eddard Stark, assuming he had not yet escaped the Crownlands. He had sealed off Harrenhal and all surrounding areas.

The Imp had imdiately recognized the small servant beside Tywin as "Arry" — Arya Stark!

It was an unexpected bonus!

Tyrion didn't finish his sentence, but the aning was clear.

Tywin gave him a cold look.

"Jai will be fine," he said, his voice calm once more but filled with unshakable authority. "I will use that little wolf pup Arya to safely trade him back. How to negotiate with the North is my business."

He turned and looked out the window.

"You are going to King's Landing."

Tyrion was startled.

"?"

"I am making you Hand of the King."

Tyrion's mismatched blue-and-green eyes lit up.

But Tywin's next words imdiately brought him back to reality.

"Acting Hand. If you cannot clean up the ss in King's Landing, then get out of House Lannister. Do not let see you again."

Tyrion's smile froze for a mont, then returned to his usual irreverent expression.

"As you command, Father."

He stood up, gave an exaggerated bow, and turned to leave.

At the door, he paused.

"By the way, Father, there is one thing I'm curious about."

Tywin did not turn around.

"Speak."

"Those papers… don't you find them quite miraculous? The images are so clear, better than anything any painter could produce. Just how many secrets does that young baron Luke Jaqenion still have? Do you still intend to treat him with the sa disdain as the other lords of the Seven Kingdoms?"

Tywin was silent.

After a long ti, he finally spoke slowly.

"That is not sothing you need to concern yourself with right now. Go to King's Landing and clean up that ss."

Tyrion smiled and pushed open the door to leave.

Several days later, the news of the victory at Whispering Wood spread throughout the Northern camp.

Robb Stark had beco famous in a single battle.

That seventeen-year-old Young Wolf had used a brilliant ambush to capture the Kingslayer, whose na shook the Seven Kingdoms.

More importantly, his father had returned.

Eddard Stark stood inside his son's tent, looking at the young man who now stood half a head taller than him, his eyes slightly moist.

"You did well, Robb. Better than I did."

Robb shook his head.

"Father, I…"

Eddard raised a hand to stop him.

"We'll talk about that later. We have Jai Lannister in our hands. This is our greatest bargaining chip. Tywin will definitely co to trade for him. Before that, we must prepare."

They had already learned that Arya Stark had not escaped and had unfortunately fallen into the hands of the old lion Tywin.

Eddard Stark patted his son's shoulder and embraced his wife Catelyn. "Don't worry. Sansa is safe. She is in Draco. That young baron saved ! He will not harm Sansa. Arya will be fine too. We can trade the Kingslayer for her!"
